After having a large breakfast, you will explore Salento, a beautiful Andean town which is famous for its coffee estates, verdant scenery and colorful buildings, especially in “Calle Real”. Besides, the town is a gateway to the snow-capped peaks of Los Nevados National Natural Park, to the northeast. Later, you will hike the Valle de Cocora, an activity you can’t miss! The wax palms, a national symbol of Colombia, rise up through the mist and tower over their surroundings. At 60m tall, their spindly trunks barely seem adequate to support their height.
