  • Day 1: CUSCO - ANDENES

    Stop At: Soraypampa Camping, Mollepata District, Anta 08645, Peru
    Departing at 04:00 am from Cusco City, we will take a private transport for a 4-hour journey, until reach Soraypampa (3800m/12464ft). Here we will meet the rest of the team, and after a short breakfast, we will start hiking through the base of Salkantay Mountain (6271m/20569ft).
    Duration: 4 hours

    Stop At: Soirococha, 08720, Peru
    Going uphill for 2 hours to the highest point Abra Huayracmachay (4600m/15088ft). At this point, you can admire the amazing Vilcabamba Mountain Range with spectaculars landscapes and mountain views.

    Stop At: Andenes 08630, Peru
    We start descending towards Andenes (3,500m/11480ft), feeling tropical weather, where our campsite is located.

    Day 2: ANDENES - LUCMABAMBA

    Stop At: Collpapampa Lodges del Cielo - ITEP Travel, Sta Teresa, Cusco 08000, Peru
    After breakfast, we will start a light hike for 2 hours with beautiful vegetation around us, until reach Chaullay. We will continue walking for 45 minutes, and then we will arrive to Collpapampa. At this point, the Salkantay River becomes Santa Teresa River.
    Duration: 3 hours

    Stop At: Santa Teresa, Santa Teresa, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region
    After a short break, we are keep walking looking amazing waterfalls and small towns, until reach Lucmabamba (2,100m/6888ft) our second campsite.
    Duration: 3 hours

    Day 3: LUCMABAMBA (BEACH) - AGUAS CALIENTES

    Stop At: Llaqtapata, Machu Picchu Peru
    After breakfast, the adventure starts going uphill for 2-3 hours until El Mirador or Abra Q'elloqasa (2860m/9381ft). Here, you will enjoy a wonderful view of the Lost City of the Incas: Machu Picchu. We will admire the Machu Picchu and Salkantay Mountain breathtaking views from Llaqtapata (2650m/8692ft).
    Duration: 3 hours

    Stop At: Aguas Calientes, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region
    After this incredible moment, we will descend for 2 hours until reach the hydroelectric plant, to take a train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, the transfer and accommodations are on your own.

    Day 4: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO

    Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
    After waiking up very early in the morning, we will take the bus until the Machu Picchu Citadel entrance, and spend a fantastic guided tour for 2 hours around this amazing place. You will have time enough to explore Machu Picchu, or back to Aguas Calientes to have lunch or relax at the hot springs.

    Stop At: Cusco, Cusco, Cusco Region
    You will back to Cusco City on Train Expedition.
