4 days Gorilla & Chimp Tracking Safari

On your way from Kampala towards Bwindi, you will enjoy your journey as most of the time you will get to see the beauty of Uganda. Terraced hills, lush green vegetation and amazing people all these and more. The trekking in Bwindi forest park starts early morning with a small briefing at the park headquarters from the Uganda wildlife authority officials on the whole experience and your guide will lead you. This trek through one of Africa’s most ancient forests in search of the endangered mountain gorillas ranks among the world’s premier activities. Also visits to some local community projects as well either in Buhoma, Ruhija or Rushaga depending on the permits available.

Later on your trip, drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth park, you could possibly see those tree climbing lions or not, then relax at one of the lodges within this area. Next day, a chimp tracking experience in Kalinzu forest in search of primates & birds as well.

There are nine habituated Gorilla groups/ families and each group will be tracked by not more than a group of 8 tourists. Your guide will be pointing out previous gorilla activity including dung nests and chewed bamboo shoots. It takes about 2 – 7hours to track the mountain gorillas depending on how far they have gone.
