  • Day 1: FRENCH RIVIERA: EZE AND NICE

Stop At: Eze, Eze, French Riviera - Cote d'Azur, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur
Guided tour of the beauty of this medieval village that lies in its small streets, along which there are ancient stone houses decorated here and there with real walls of colored flowers, which give charm and romance to the small village.
To make the path to the top even more curious and interesting are the small shops and artistic ateliers where it is pleasant to stop.
i is a village of medieval origin and therefore the greenery inside the historic alleys is rather limited, if not in the large exotic gardens. Despite this, the inhabitants and shopkeepers have done everything to add plants and flowers through pots and vines that fit well into the facades of the houses.
In the labyrinth of the houses there is no shortage of arcades or large tunnels that open onto suggestive stone stairways. During the summer months the stone shines when illuminated by the sun, creating an even more evocative landscape.
    Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Le Jardin Exotique d'Eze, Rue Du Chateau, 06360 Eze France
Guided tour of the Exotic Garden of Eza which is truly wonderful and quite large, almost as large as the historical center below. In addition, reaching an altitude of 429 meters above sea level, you will enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the French Riviera and the entire village. On clearer days you can even see Corsica.
The walk inside the Jardin Exotique is well marked with plaques explaining the various sections. After having covered the outline of the mountain, go up to its summit where the ruins of the castle are located. Under an alternation of stairways, steamers, benches and suggestive views alternate with tall succulents and thorny cushions. The variety of plants present here is truly impressive and fascinating and taking a few minutes of rest in the contemplative area will give you immediate regeneration.

The village is built on a rocky mountain of 760 meters of altitude, which can take several minutes by car, but the bravest can also reach it on foot. Gourdon is also one of the most visited villages on the French Riviera due to numerous historic chapels, churches and castles. There is the Roman chapel Saint Pons, built in the 12th century. Speaking of religious architecture, in this town there is also the church of San Vincenzo, also built in the 12th century. This church is classified as a historical monument, the slabs of this church are still the same since it was built. The medieval castle, which is a very old building, has a square wall and three other towers. It also has a prison inside and it is possible to visit it.
