Day 1: Arrival in Victoria Falls

On arrival at the Victoria Falls airport, you will be met by a Batoka Safaris representative and transferred to the Azambezi River Lodge where an escort will assist with check in.

Pickup for the Sunset cruise

In the afternoon, take a Sundowner Cruise down the Zambezi River. There is no better way to end the day than to watch an African Sun slip down the horizon, while sipping drinks and enjoying light snacks. Birds, hippos and crocodiles are abound in their natural habitat.

Day 2: Chobe Day Trip

Stop At: Chobe National Park, Chobe National Park, North-West District
The Caprivi Strip, just 70kms west of Victoria Falls is a very interesting area. Not only does the Zambezi River form the borders of 4 countries here (Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and Zambia) but this is also the location of one of Africa’s finest natural game reserves – the Chobe National Park. The added presence of the equally intriguing Chobe River (in one season the water flows downstream and in the other it flows upstream) brings a myriad of game and rare bird species to this natural wilderness. The Park boasts the Big Five and the river teems with hippos and crocodiles which can be viewed both from boats and safari vehicles. It is to this “animal paradise” that participants will be taken after an early breakfast at the Hotel. After an hour’s drive through the Zambezi National Park, quick border formalities are carried out into Botswana before proceeding into the national park. Chobe River cruises and Game drives have to be one of the finest game viewing experiences in Africa. With over 80 000 elephant in the park alone they are a very frequent sighting. Hippo, water birds, buffalo, crocodile and puku are also viewed from the river. Lunch is served at Chobe Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Victoria Falls

Guided tour of the falls

Firstly the stop at the “Big Tree”, ancient Baobab some 16 meters in girth, kicks off the tour with an explanation of the geology of the Victoria Falls. From the Livingstone View to the Devil’s Cataract, on to the Main Falls, past the Rainbow Falls and to the Danger

Helicopter short flight

Otherwise known as the “Flight of Angels”. For a spectacular view of the Falls. Live out the famous words of Dr David Livingstone, “… on sights such as these, angels must have gazed in their flight …”

Day 4: Village Tour

Village tour

This tour allows you to get a real, live feel of rural village life in Zimbabwe. Farewell the lights of Victoria Falls, enter a place which reveals to you a unique lifestyle such as you have never experienced before.

Monde Village, which has a population of about 500 people in total, is located about 15 kilometers out of Victoria Falls, off the road to Hwange. As we approach the village, depending on the season, different activities may already be seen, such as villagers at work in their fields ploughing with their ox drawn plough shares. Children kicking a plastic ball with their naked feet, women weaving baskets or winnowing the harvest, young girls sweeping the hut or cooking the day’s main meal are sights which will warm your heart when you realize that this simple life is so complete to some.
