Kidepo Valley National Park is an off the beaten path African safari destination with about 475 bird species. The ostrich one of the world's flightless birds also calls Kidepo Valley home. The park hosts over 77 mammals and its human neighbors are the Karamojong people with a nomadic life style similar to the IK a hunter gatherer tribe and the Masai people of Kenya. A visit to this park provides the opportunity to meet the Karamojong people on a relaxed evening walk.

Day 1: Entebbe International Airport - Kampala City
Stop At: Entebbe, Entebbe, Central Region
Arrive Entebbe International Airport for a warm meet and greet to transfer to Kampala for the night. The drive from Entebbe has great views of Lake Victoria, local markets with interesting merchandise displayed for sale, and lots of people going about their daily business. A drive around Kampala city will be possible if your flight arrives in the course of the day. Check into your overnight hotel and rest. Kampala has several restaurants serving fresh sumptuous meals and friendly people.

Day 2: Kampala - Kitgum town
Pass By: Karuma Falls, Karuma Uganda
You will be picked up after a relaxed breakfast to start on your journey to Kidepo National Park at about 6:45am with an overnight stay along the way. Today we see lots of beautiful remote vegetation to the northern part of the country and the highlight on this drive is the amazing Karuma falls, with a lunch stopover in Gulu. Proceed to Kitgum after lunch. Arrive to refresh for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Kitgum - Kidepo Valley National Park
Stop At: Kidepo Valley National Park, Kitgum Uganda
After a restful night have a relaxed breakfast and continue on the journey to one of Africa’s finest wildernesses through the remote villages and homesteads of the Acholi and Karamojong people to finally arrive this famous valley that is home of Kidepo National Park.
This park is one of the most beautiful sites to see in Africa, and is voted third best on the content by the CNN travel channel. Check in and have lunch at your overnight accommodation. Go out for an evening game drive in search of wildlife which include: giant eland, zebras, Jackson’s hartebeest hyenas, bat-eared fox, lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards and more. Today we might witness a great African sunset too!!
Return to the hotel for a refreshing, dinner and overnight in this wilderness

Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park
Stop At: Kidepo Valley National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Northern Region
Depart in the morning at 6:45am after breakfast and carry with you packed lunch heading for a game drive along the palm trees lined along Kidepo River, in search for Ostriches, leopards, tortoise plus more and continue on this search till lunch time. After our packed lunch we’ll stretch our legs on a guided nature walk in the park accompanied by an armed ranger. Bring well charged cameras for this activity, the photo opportunities here are magnificent. Thereafter return to the hotel to refresh, relax and have time to enjoy the evening in a wilderness like no other

Day 5: Kidepo Valley National Park - Gulu
Stop At: Gulu, Gulu, Northern Region
After a relaxed breakfast transfer to Gulu for lunch and spend the night the in Gulu the biggest town north of Uganda with its growth curtailed by the insurgency caused by the lord’s resistance Army for several years before it ended a couple of years ago. Life is back to normal with busy streets and safety guaranteed to allow visitors move freely.There are lots of interesting Acholi homesteads to see along the way. Today the afternoon is free for you to rest and unwind but the option to drive around the town and see the local markets is possible.

Day 6: Gulu - Entebbe
Stop At: Rhino Fund Uganda ( Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary), Gulu Highway Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Nakitoma Uganda
Depart Gulu at 8:00am after a relaxed breakfast and full of safari memories about Kidepo National Park. Stop at Zziwa Sanctuary to track the rhinos and have an early lunch, thereafter proceed to Kampala to look around the curio shops for possible souvenirs to take home. Continue to Entebbe International Airport to check in for your night flight home.
