7 Day Diving Galapagos

This fantastic, active 7-day program offers you diving tours in places where are manta rays, barracudas, hammerhead sharks, seahorses, and more will be regularly seen. You will visit the main diving spots of the Galapagos islands and you stay in comfortable tourist superior class hotels. To participate in this tour you need to have a valid PADI certificate. If you are interested in a diving course, please take a look at the 6 day diving course in the Galapagos.

You start the tour in San Cristobal island where you have some self-guided activities before you go on the Kicker Rock dive on Day 2. On Day 3 you will go to Santa Cruz / Puerto Ayora village from where you will do the rest of the dives. On Day 4 – 6 you will do dive tours from with 2 immersions and a check dive each. The spots will differ per day.  Since the Galapagos Islands are very protected it is not possible to go to the diving spots every day.

  • Day 1: SAN CRISTOBAL - FREE TIME

    Stop At: Malecon San Cristobal, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, 120506 Ecuador
    Upon arrival to Galapagos (San Cristobal Airport) our transportation will take you to the village (5 minutes). You can check in to the hotel and you can visit some nice places by yourself (Playa Mann, Tijeretas etc). We provide you a self-guided package for the best tips and restaurants. Around 17.00 you should visit the dive school to prepare for your first dive the next day.

    Day 2: DIVING KICKER ROCK

    Stop At: Kicker Rock, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno Ecuador
    Today you will go on your first dive in the Galapagos islands! You will go for about 45 minutes by boat to reach Kicker Rock. When you get there you will have a short check dive to make sure your equipment is good. After this you do two immersions of about 50 minutes each. After the dives you have a lunch on board and whenever the current is good and the National Park has given the permission you will visit a beach close by to relax. Around 3 – 4 PM you will be back in the village.

    Day 3: FREE TIME SAN CRISTOBAL – SANTA CRUZ SPEEDBOAT

    Stop At: Santa Cruz Island, Ecuador
    In the morning you have to visit some spots by yourself; for example the Loberia or Playa Chino. At 2 PM you will take the public speedboat to get to Santa Cruz island (Puerto Ayora village). The boat ride takes about 2,5 hours. Upon arrival you should visit the dive school to try out your gear. At night you can walk around in the cosy village and try one of the (seafood) restaurants.
    Duration: 5 hours

    Day 4: DIVING FROM PUERTO AYORA 1

    Stop At: Santa Cruz Island, Ecuador
    After breakfast the dive guide will take you to one of the dive sites around Santa Cruz. As mentioned before, where you go depends on the day of the week. You will reach the dive sites by speedboat. Depending on the dive site, this ride will take you between 30 minutes and 2,5 hours. You will have a check dive and two immersions from about 50 minutes each. The maximum depth for this dive site is 30m. You do need a PADI degree. Depending on the site you will be back in the village between 3 – 6 PM so in the afternoon you have time to visit the Charles Darwin station, Tortuga Bay, Santa Cruz highlands, Las Grietas or Playa de los Alemanes by yourself.

    Day 5: DIVING FROM PUERTO AYORA 2

    Day 7: TRANSFER OUT

    Stop At: Seymour Airport, Aeropuerto Seymour de Baltra, Isla Baltra Baltra, Ecuador
    Today your Galapagos Diving trip ends. You can choose a flight out from Baltra at any hour, the drop off will be planned about 3,5 hours before your departure.

    • If you arrive before 11.00 to Baltra airport you do the regular itinerary with on Day 1 the boat to Isabela and visit Flamingo Lagoon. If you arrive after 11.00 to Baltra airport you will stay the first night in Puerto Ayora. If you arrive between 11.00 - 14.00 to Baltra airport you will do an activity (either Tortuga Bay or Charles Darwin Station) and you have lunch within the package. If you arrive after 14.00 to Baltra airport you will have the transfer to Puerto Ayora and you won't have lunch nor an activity. It is important you have your flight out around noon or later on Day 7 from Baltra Airport. Otherwise you will miss some activities.
    • Please try to bring small bags and luggage, The Galapagos public transportation is on average small and it takes more time and space when you bring large baggage
    • It is important to have a travel insurance including personal medical insurance. Please inform the supplier of any known medical conditions

    • Day 2: Please let us know if you would like the option to take a snorkeling tour to Los Tuneles (Additional Price apply), instead of hiking Sierra Negra and snorkeling at Concha Perla

    • It is recommended to have DAN Diving insurance.
