Day 1: Kigali City Tour
Stop At: Kigali Genocide Memorial, KG 14 Ave, Kigali Rwanda
We visit the genocide memorial and get to understand the history of Rwanda.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Kimironko Market, 194 St Kg, Kigali Rwanda
We explore the largest open air market in Kigali and get to understand the food culture and shop some handicrafts and African fabrics.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Nyamirambo, Kigali, Rwanda
Nyamirambo is the name of the old town which hosts the Nyamirambo Women Centre and several other local restaurants. We take short walk to get into the groove of the most vibrant part of Kigali.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park
Stop At: Akagera National Park, Rwanda
At 8am, we drive to Akagera National park; on arrival, and then check in at our lodge. Later in the afternoon after lunch, we embark on a very scenic and rewarding boat launch on Lake Ihema. The boat cruise on Lake Ihema will reward you with a large number of hippos, huge Nile crocodiles and a variety of bird species. For the bird‑lovers, the majestic African fish eagles and the large concentration of water birds can entertain you. In the marshes, keep an eye out for the Papyrus Gonolek and the often sought–after Shoebill Stork, the Cormorants, and many more.
This evening you will meet your park ranger who will take you on a 2 hours night game drive in search of the big cats. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Game Drive in Akagera National Park
Stop At: Akagera National Park, Rwanda
We start our morning with breafast and collect our picnic box before we begin our wildlife safari game drive. Akagera Park is home to animals like elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and more than a dozen types of antelope inhabit the park, most commonly the handsome Chestnut–‐‑coated Impala, but also the diminutive Oribi and secretive Bushbuck, as well as the ungainly and the world’s largest antelope, the statuesque Cape Eland.
Akagera also provides you with the opportunity to view gentle hills blending beautifully with lowland swamps and water bodies.
You will exit the park through the northern gate and drive back to Kigali where will check in our hotel.

Day 4: Transfer Nyungwe Forest National Park / Canopy Walk / Cultural Tour
Stop At: Exploring Nyanza culture and history, Nyanza Rwanda
We visit the King's palace museum and get to discover the history and culture of the ancient kingdom of Rwanda. The tour also includes a quick visit to the king's farm where we get to see the magnificent Inyambo cows with long horns.

Stop At: Ethnographic Museum Rwanda, Rn1, Huye Rwanda
Rwanda has very rich history and traditions. The National museum is considered the best in the region and provides insights into the evolution of the Kingdom of Rwanda from its inception until today.
The museums takes visitors through the archaeological and cultural journey as well as the social-economical transformation of the ancient kingdom of Rwanda. The museum has a wonderful architectural structure and its halls displays ancient artifacts and geological collections.

Stop At: Nyungwe National Park, Butare Rwanda
After our lunch break in Huye, we proceed to Nyungwe National park. We start the Canope walkway through the Nyungwe forest at 3pm. The hike is easy and moderate except for those with acrophobia or fear of heights.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking or Waterfall Nature Trail & Transfer to Lake Kivu
Stop At: Nyungwe National Park, Butare Rwanda
The Chimpanzee trek starts very early in the mornign at 5AM. Nyungwe National Park is one of the world's most beautiful and pristine mountain rain forests. The forest has an extensive network of well-maintained walking and hiking trails to various waterfalls and viewing points. There are other trail experiences for bird watching and the colobus monkey trekking. You are free to pick one activity of your choice among all the available hiking trails in Nyungwe although we recommend the chimpanzee or the tropical waterfall.

Stop At: Lake Kivu, Kibuye Rwanda
After our morning hike in Nyungwe forest, we take a lunch break and then proceed to Kibuye lake town which is the most beautiful and serene place in Rwanda. We spend a night at a lake lodge.

Day 6: Relax, Boat cruise or Kayaking on Lake Kivu
Stop At: Lake Kivu, Kibuye Rwanda
After a morning breakfast, we take a boat trip to the Napoleon island on Lake Kivu, home to several bats. We enjoy the scenery and also get to swim before we finish our tour.

Day 7: Boat trip to Gisenyi or Cycling to Kinunu Village
Stop At: Kinunu Base Camp, Rutsiro, Rwanda
The tour also offers an option to do cycling to Kinunu which is a coffee plantation that is around 50 Km (30 miles) from the lake resort. The activity is intense but it offers stunning views of the hills and rural communities.

Day 8: Transfer to Volcanoes Park / Cultural & Community Tours / Canoe on Twin Lakes
Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, Musanze Kinigi, Ruhengeri Rwanda
We leave early in the morning and head to the Volcanoes National Park which is about 1 hours from Lake Kivu, Gisenyi. We then start our experience with a boat or canoe tour on the magnificent twin lakes (Ruhondo & Burera). We later on proceed to a short hike which provides an opportunity to enjoy the scenic and panoramic views of the volcanoes, the beautiful hills surrounding the gorilla's park as well as the pristine dark blue waters of the lake.
After our lunch break, we proceed to Iby'Iwacu Cultural center for get a glimpse of the Rwandan traditions and culture. We get an opportunity to dance with local traditional dancers.

Stop At: Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo, Rwanda
Lakes Burera and Ruhondo (Twin Lakes), close to the gorilla-tracking center of Kinigi, are often called neglected gems perhaps because they are among least traveled attractions in Rwanda.
For those with a taste for adventure, a boat trip on Twin Lakes provides the chance to see the five volcanoes and natural features like birds, hammerkops, cranes and lots of kingfishers and herons. You can may book additional tours such as fishing with the locals or experiencing the Rwandan cultural and historical with a traditional community.

Day 9: Bisoke Volcanoe Hike or Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes Park (Gorilla Trekking optional price)
Stop At: Mount Bisoke, Rwanda
Mount Bisoke is one of the Virunga volcanoes and boasts a wonderful crater lake at the summit where you also get to enjoy the views of the sublime forests, the green farms and the lakes in the area. The hike to the volcano starts at 7:00AM and usually last around 5 to 6 hours depending on level of fitness. The hike starts from the Volcanoes National Park which is home to the mountain gorillas and the golden monkeys but there is very little chance you might see because we take a different hiking trail.

Stop At: Kinigi, Kinigi, Musanze District, Northern Province
We hike through the national park and spend time enjoying our time watching the golden monkeys in their habitat. The hike is relatively easy and takes around 2 to 4 hours.

After our hike and lunch break, we proceed to Iby'Iwacu Cultural center for get a glimpse of the Rwandan traditions and culture. We get an opportunity to dance with local traditional dancers.
