A Taste of Life Under Communism in Prague

This exclusive cultural tour takes you back in time to the Communist era in Prague through food, storytelling, and historical sightseeing.
Your local guide will show you significant spots in the Old and New Towns where you will dip into Prague’s daily life when it was behind the Iron Curtain. You’ll visit the most remarkable sites of the famous Velvet Revolution. You’ll come across old landmarks that still hold memories from this era, and even stop for a beer inside the largest communist building in the city center. Along the way, you’ll also find out a modern food culture that has been influenced by this time in history. Visit a classic diner known for its traditional bites; try one of the country’s favorite street food snacks; and sit down to eat at a simple canteen-style restaurant where the working-class still go to enjoy traditional lunches. Join us as we get underneath the skin of Prague on this fun and informative adventure that combines history with tasty modern cuisine
