Annapurna Circuit Trek

Annapurna circuit Trek is one of the best trekking in the world. The trek provides opportunity to explore the Himalaya from bottom to top and different angles and Perspectives. This trek can be completed in three week. From 1977, it is opened to foreign trekkers. The trek starts from Bhulbhule which goes along the Marshyangdi River. At Bhulbhule we need to register our permit at the check post. The sheer diversity of the mountain scenery, the exhilaration of crossing a high mountain pass, and the unsurpassed views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and
Manaslu Ranges are the essentials of this outstanding trek.

Annapurna circuit trek passes through different villages such as Bhulbhule, Syange, Tal, Chame, Lower Pisang, Manang, Churi Leder, Mustang, Kagbeni, Marpha, Ghasa, Tatopani, Ghorepani, Thikhedunga and so on. We can explore a wide diversity of people from different ethnic groups.

    Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. You will be greeted by a representative of Mission Nepal Holiday’s at the airport and transferred to your hotel for overnight as per itinerary. In the evening, you can enjoy the cultural dinner at your hotel.

    DAY 02:
    Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation – Hotel
    After breakfast in hotel, our Kathmandu sightseeing trip starts. We have private vehicle and a professional tour guide at your disposal. Today we visit Pashupatinath, a holy temple; Boudhanath stupa, a Buddhist pilgrimage spot; Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. The tour gives you a taste of our vivid Nepali culture and history. Pashupatinath Temple gives a chance to the visitors to feel the unique spirit of Hindu traditions of life, death and reincarnation. Bouddhanath is considered to be the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. Swayambhunath offers peace, freedom, and joy to the whole world and ultimately helps us to obtain perfect enlightenment. The major interesting things to see in Kathmandu Durbar Square are Kumari (The Living Goddess) Ghar, Kastha Mandap, Maru Ganesh, Mahadev temple, Shiva Parvati temple, Kal Bhairav, Bhagawati temple, Big Drums, old palace, Saraswati temple, Jagannath temple, Krishna octangular temple and Taleju temple. Stay overnight in the hotel at Kathmandu.

    DAY 03:
    Drive from Kathmandu - Bhulbhule; Overnight at lodge
    The distance between Kathmandu and Bhulbhule is 188 km and it takes 6-7 hours. On the way, we see the beautiful scenery of villages, farms and mountains (Ganesh and Manaslu). We can enjoy the road trip because of many twists and turns. We can see breathtaking views of Himalayas, green fields and river sides. It is a wonderful drive along the bank of Trishuli and Marsyangdi River. At Bhulbhule, we need to register our permits at the check post. We spend our night at lodge.

    DAY 04:
    Trek to Syange, Overnight at lodge
    After breakfast, we start our trek from Bhulbhule to Syange. The distance between Bhulbhule and Syange is 18.6 km. It takes 5 to 6 hours. The trek heading up the Marsyangdi River Valley into the dense forest of the region. Trek passes through Nadi, Lampata Bahundanda, Khanigaon and Ghermu. The main attractions of this day are; pretty green rice field, great view of mountains, mixed culture and Syange waterfall. There are around 10 lodges and several restaurants in Syange. We spend our night at lodge of Syange.

    DAY 05:
    Trek to Tal, Overnight at lodge
    After having breakfast at Syange, we start our hike to Tal which is our destination for the day. It is just beyond the top of the hill. From Syange, we need to walk quite steep and ascend to Jagat. From Jagat, the path is going up and down but it is easy for trekking and very nice. This walk is slightly ascending and we come across the beautiful waterfall. We follow the Marsyangdi River on this walk. There are around 20 guesthouses and several restaurants in beautiful village Tal. We spend our night in Tal.

    DAY 06:
    Trek to Chame, Overnight at lodge
    Today, Chame is our destination which is Headquarter of Manang district. On this day we pass through several villages such as Dharapani, Danaque, Timang, Koto etc. From Tal, we need to hike 2.5 hours to reach Dharapani. After 2 hours walk from Dharapani we reach Danaque. Timang village is surrounded by Snow - capped mountains. After 20 minute walk from Koto Village we reach Chame. On the way we can see dense forest with amazing view of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV and Lamjung Himal. Chame is big village than other which has around 20 guest houses, shops with different things, bank, posts and water refill station. We spend our night in Chame.

    DAY 07:
    Trek to Lower Pisang, Overnight at lodge
    We take breakfast at Chame and start our hike to Lower Pisang. The distance between Chame to Lower Pisang is 14.5 kilometer. It takes 5- 6 hours by foot. At first we reach Bhratang village. The trail passes through beautiful pine wood forest and long bridge over Marsyangdi River. After 2 hours walk from Bhratang we reach Dhukur Pokhari before Lower Pisang. Lower Pisang is old style picturesque village. We stay overnight at Lower Pisang.

    DAY 08:
    Trek to Manang Village, Overnight at lodge
    After breakfast in Upper Pisang, we start our trek to Manang Village. The distance between Upper Pisang and Manang Village is 15.7 kilometer which takes 5-6 hours. We pass through Ghyaru, Nagwal, Humde, Mugje and Bhraka. When we cross wooden bridge over Marsyangdi River, we reach Manang. On the way, we find typical Tibetan Style houses made by stone with flat roofs. On the trail we can see impressive panorama of amazing landscapes, bottomless river valleys and peak of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Range. We stay overnight at Manang.

    DAY 09:
    Acclimatization at Manang, Overnight at lodge
    We will spend a day in Manang village in order to acclimatize. This is the day for exploring Manang village. Today we hike to Praken Gompa Monastery which is closer to 4,000m line. It is an isolated religious building hidden from sight in a mountain wall above Manang. Lama, a Buddhist monk, lives in Praken Gompa who blesses us to cross Thorong La Pass safely. We can see amazing view of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna and Tarke Kang. After visit Praken Gompa, we hike 15 to 20 minutes to reach Gangapurna Lake. In this day, we can also explore world’s highest Tilicho Lake which is near to the Manang Village. We spend our night at Manang Village.

    DAY 10
    Trek to Churi Leder, Overnight at lodge
    After having breakfast at Manang Village, we start our trek to Churi Leder. The trek is about 3 hours. The trail continues to climb out of the Marsyangdi valley. We cross a stream and mane stone before reaching Tenki Manang and pass through small village of Gunsang, Yak Kharka (Koche). After 1 hours of Continuous walk from Koche along the Jarsang khola Valley, we get to Churi Leder. We stay overnight at lodge of Churi leder.

    DAY 11:
    Trek to High Camp, Overnight at lodge
    We take breakfast at Churi Leder and start our hike to High Camp. It takes 3 to 4 hours. The trial passes through bank of Jarsang Khola. We descend and cross the stream on a wooden Bridge at 4,310m. On the way, we can see Blue Sheep, Snow- Capped Leopards and Crow – Like Bird Choughs. We spend our night at High Camp.

    DAY 12:
    Trek to Crossing Thorung La, Muktinath, Overnight at lodge
    After having breakfast at High Camp, we start our trek to cross Thorang La Pass and to Muktinath. The Throng La Pass is an elevation of 5,416m which is the highest point of our trip. It offers views of Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri Range, Chulu West, Chulu East and many other peaks. We reach Muktinath (a holy place for both Buddhists and Hindus) in 5 to 6 hours from High Camp. We see view of impressive white snow-capped mountains. We spend our night at lodge of Muktinath. Muktinath is surrounded by Mt. Nilgiri and Mt. Tilicho to the southeast, Dhaulagiri to the southwest and Thorang peak and yakawa Kang to the north with Dzar, Dzong, Khingga and Purang villages.

    DAY 13:
    Trek to Kagbeni, Overnight at lodge
    After breakfast at Muktinath, we start our trek to Kagbeni. The distance between Muktinath and Kagbeni is 12.4 kilometer. It takes 3 to 4 hours. We hike along the bank of Kali Gandaki. In this day trek, we can see soothing natural beauty, vivid culture, stunning Himalayan views, beautiful landscapes and pleasing climate. Diversity of nature, landscapes and cultures provides us the marvelous insight. We pass through ancient caves and see view of impressive white snow-capped mountains. We spend our night at lodge of Kagbeni.
    DAY 14:
    Trek to Marpha, Overnight at lodge
    Today, we take our breakfast at Kagbeni and start our trek to Marpha. The distance between Kagbeni and Marpha is 15.5 kilometers. It takes 6 to 7 hours. After hiking for 4 to 5 hours we reach Jomsom. We take short rest in Jomsom and move to Marpha. This day we explore Lower Mustang Region and Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Range. On the way we can see view of different mountain and beautiful Landscape. Marpha is the main inhabitants of the ethnic group of Thakali which follow Buddhist religion. Marpha village have worked to preserve its unique heritage and architecture. So we can see different Stupa and monastery in this village. It is considered as the apple capital of Nepal. We take a taste of Apple pie in Marpha. We spend our night at lodge of Marpha.

    DAY 15:
    Trek to Ghasa, Overnight at lodge
    We take breakfast at Marpha and start our hike to Ghasa. It takes 6-7 hours. Today also the trail follows the Kali Gandaki River. We pass via Tukuche, Larjung traditional Thakali Village, Lete, Lete Khola and finally reach Ghasa. On the way to Ghasa we visit red – roofed Taglung Gompa. Ghasa is the Thakali community which is paradise for bird watcher. We stay overnight at Ghasa.

    DAY 16:
    Trek to Tatopani, Overnight at lodge
    After breakfast at Ghasa, we start our hike to Tatopani. Trail follows Kali Gandaki River. On the trail we see waterfall, dreadful Kali Gandaki River gorges. We need to pass Kopchepani, Rupse Chhahara and Dana Village to reach Tatopani. We pass through the village Ghara, Sika and Chitre. After 6 hours trek we reach Tatopani, we can go in the hot spring place for enjoying natural hot water. We spend the night at lodge of Tatopani.

    DAY 17:
    Trek to Ghorepani, Overnight at lodge
    Ghorepani is the best place for magnificent view of mountain like Annapurna south, Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Hiuchuli, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri ranges, Tukuche peak, Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre, Mt. Manaslu ranges, and many other peaks. Poon hill and Gurung hill view point of Ghorepani are major amazing places for enjoying tranquility of sunrise and sunset. We spend our night at Ghorepani.

    DAY 18:
    Trek to Tikhedhunga, Overnight at lodge
    In this day, we need to get up early in the morning and climb up to Poonhill. We take one hours to reach Poonhill. From Poonhill, we can see the beautiful sunrise in Annapurna Range and Dhaulagiri Range. After collecting this memory in Poonhill, we come back to Ghorepani and start our trek to Tikhedhunga. We continue our journey downhill with lots of stairs to reach the village Tikhedhunga. It takes 6 hours. The trek passes through beautiful green areas (with Rododendron forest) and paddy fields which provides excellent view of Himalayan panorama of Nepal. When we get to Tikhedhunga, we find a nice celebration that brightens the evening with dances, songs and performance of the local culture. We stay in Tikhedhunga at this night.

    DAY 19:
    Trek to Nayapul, Pokhara, hotel
    This day, we start our trek after breakfast in Tikhedhunga. The distance between Tikhedhunga to Nayapul is 8.6 kilometer. We need to hike for 4 hours to reach Nayapul. We pass through Thikhedunga Khola and Birethati. This route is mainly downhill with stairs, some paving stones, bridge and signs in many places to make our experience easier. We can reach Pokhara from Nayapul in 2 hours. In the evening, we can enjoy the cultural dinner at hotel.

    DAY 20:
    Drive: Pokhara – Kathmandu, hotel
    After a breakfast in Pokhara, we start our journey to Kathmandu. It takes 6 to 7 hours. When we arrive at Kathmandu, our representatives transfer you to the respective hotel. In the evening, you have farewell dinner to celebrate completion of the journey. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

    DAY 21:
    Final departure, transfer to airport
    This is the last day of your trip. Our company representatives assist you to get to the airport as per your flight departure time.
