Located exactly where East and West meet in Sarajevo, at the entrance to Baščaršija. Built in 1882, Europe Hotel is the oldest hotel in Sarajevo and was designed by Karl Paržik, a famous architect at the time.

This large and beautiful building on Obala Kulina Bana is not only home to the theater but is also on the list of Protected National Monuments of BiH. It was built during the Austro-Hungarian period according to designs made by the architect, Karl Paržik, and it originally served as a social facility that officially opened on January 2, 1899.

The Museum of Sarajevo 1878-1918 is an annex of the Museum of Sarajevo and its permanent exhibit shows Sarajevo during the time of Austro-Hungarian rule (1878-1918). We will be ending our tour at this stop and we will take a closer look at the exhibition.
