In the specially lighted caverns at Harrison's Cave, view the majestic stalactites and stalagmites which have been growing from the floors and ceilings for many centuries. Stop At: Welchman Hall Gully, Welchman Hall Barbados
Welchman Hall Gully is a glittering jewel set in the heart
of Barbados. This tropical hideaway is home to wild
monkeys, majestic rainforest trees and delicate native plants.
Walk along its shaded path. See Barbados as it appeared
to the rst settlers. Watch monkeys feed on a specially built
platform, swing from vines and groom each other in the
trees – the gully and its occupants have fascinated tourists
for hundreds of years.
The grapefruit originated here in the 18th century and
valuable conservation and education work continues to
this day. Fascinatingly, the gully is also geologically
connected to Harrison’s Cave. Before Harrison’s Cave was
developed, locals would enter via an entrance located in
Welchman Hall Gully. You can still see evidence of
stalagmites and stalactites throughout your walk from
when the gully was a part of the cave.
Nature lovers and plant enthusiasts if you like nature,
hiking (at any level), plants, culture and natural history,
then Welchman Hall gully must be seen.

Under the surface of the sea Carlisle Bay comes alive with vibrant tropical fish in abundance, sea horses, sea turtles, octopus, rays, and much more!
