Also known as the home of the'Secret Peace Talks' this beautiful French Gothic design was built in the late 1800's. Occupied by priests and monks from the Redemptorist order this monastery has been a cornerstone for the local community of West Belfast. Hear how a local priest (Fr Alec Reid) who resided in the monastery played a huge role in the peace process and how the monastery itself also provided a place of solace for both our communites after the 'Belfast Blitz' during World War 2.

Cross through the 'Peace Gates' where you will find the largest of our many 'Peace Walls' that divide our city.Here you can follow in the footsteps of people like Bill Clinton, the Dalai Lama and write your very own message of peace on the wall.
