Brews Cruise- DTLA Brewery tour by bike

We visit 3 Arts District craft breweries by bike. Angel City, Mumford and Boomtown breweries are all within a short ride of each other. We hear the founding backstories and visit the tasting rooms. Along the way, we fill you in on the past present and future of the Arts District neighborhood. We do not provide alcohol on this tour, although you have the option to leave your bike at our last stop, if you would like to imbibe, or return to Grand Central Market with us. Of course we’ll bring the pannier bags incase you want to buy a crowler or 2.

Stop At: Handlebar Bike Tours, 308 S Hill St Hill Street entrance to Grand Central Market, Los Angeles, CA 90013-1109

We meet at Grand Central Market, fit the bikes and head off on our Brews Cruise. You have the option to round trip, or you can choose to leave your bike at the last stop, stay a little longer, and we'll take care of the bikes.

    Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Angel City Brewery, 216 S Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA 90012-4201

Angel City is the largest of the brew houses we visit. The 2 story, Art Deco interior has copious seating, roll up doors for and indoor out door feel, and a swag store. The exterior beer garden is lined with large format canvases, as the Brews Cruise takes place in the Art District of Los Angeles. Angel City Brewery specializes in IPA's, and unique seasonal lagers; avocado beer?! Don't knock it til you try it.

    Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Mumford Brewing, 416 Boyd St, Los Angeles, CA 90013-1631

In addition to IPAs and lagers, Mumford is known for their fruit forward flavors. They've been known to foment in whiskey barrels or add a little barley wine to a brew. The cool casual tasting room is a light airy space, out in front of their brew house. The smallest, and more artisanal of the Brews Cruise's stops it's definitely a beer connoisseur destination

    Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Boomtown Brewery, 700 Jackson St, Los Angeles, CA 90012-3443

Stout, Gose and a cheekily named, Bad Hombre Mexican lager are the specialties of the house at this lively, off the beaten path brewery. Murals adorn the walls inside and out in this large warehouse space with a convivial vibe. In addition, there is a small patio with picnic tables, and usually a food truck. You have the option to leave your bike here at the last stop if you would like to imbibe, or return to Grand Central Market with us.

    Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Arts District Brewing Company, 828 Traction Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90013, USA

This stop is an alternate. On occasion the other breweries are closed for private events or film shoots. In that case we add in Arts District Brewing, a large indoor/outdoor space with ski-ball, corn-hole etc. and a great kitchen.
