Meet your licensed, English-speaking guide in Piazza del Duomo, in front of the entrance of the Opera del Duomo Museum.
Let your guide introduce you to the history of the majestic Duomo complex and discover important details about Florence. You will then enjoy a privileged access to the fascinating Opera del Duomo Museum, that hosts the largest concentration of Florentine monumental sculptures in the world: it includes medieval and Renaissance artworks by the leading artists of the era, a treasure of over 750 works of art covering 720 years of history. Most of the masterpieces on display were specifically designed to adorn the interior or exterior of the Duomo monumental complex: the Baptistry of San Giovanni, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Giotto's Bell Tower. Among the others, you will get to admire the Michelangelo’s Pietà, that the artist himself mutilated and left unfinished at his death and Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise, not to be missed!

Before parting ways with your guide, you will receive the tickets to admire the world-famous Brunelleschi’s Dome, the entrance is set at 11am! Enter and start climbing the 463 steps to the top of the dome, at your own pace. On your way up, you will have the opportunity to observe the magnificent “Last Judgement” fresco by Giorgio Vasari that decorates the walls of the Cupola very closely, while once on top you'll remain speechless while admiring the incomparable panoramic views over Florence; the Cupola is the highest point in the city centre, you will even see the Tuscan Hills… Don’t miss this opportunity, only a limited number of people per day can climb to the Dome! Don't forget to bring your camera!
