Cameron Highlands Day Tour from Kuala Lumpur

    Stop At: Lata Iskandar, Jalan Tapah-Brinchang-Blue Valley-Cameron Highlands, Tapah 35000 Malaysia

    Lata Iskandar is a waterfall along the trunk road from Tapah to Cameron Highlands, located about 25km before Ringlet. The waterfall cascades over several tiers of granite slopes, with the last drop at 25 meters high flowing into a small pool below, before resuming its journey as a narrow stream. On weekends, the waterfall is overun by tourists and local visitors.

    THey congregate tightly under the cold shower of the falls, or perch themselves for photos along its rocky ledges. Ramshackle shops and stalls, nestled along the main road facing Lata Iskandar, provide shopping opportunities for ethnic souvenirs, tribal handicrafts, strange herbs, tropical fruits and even aphrodisiacs

    Stop At: Cameron Valley Tea House, 15-16 Main Road Pahang Darul Makmur, Tanah Rata 39000 Malaysia

    The sister plantation to Bharat Tea in Tanah Rata, Cameron Valley's second tea estate is located along the main road between Tringkap and Kampung Raja, about 7km north of Kea Farm in Brinchang. Nestled along a steep valley, the plantation is draped around hills that overlook the village of Kuala Terla. Open daily from 9am till 6pm, entrance is free including bush walks around the estate.

    From the entrance, a tea house provides a one-stop center for visitors to purchase Cameron Valley tea products and a cafe with spacious rooftop deck that overlooks the tea fields. A recent attraction is a safari ride that ferries passengers on 4WD vehicles around the hills, culminating at a peak with observation platform to soak in the view. ATV-riding activities are also offered.

    Stop At: Kea Farm Market, 39100, Brinchang 39000 Malaysia

    Kea Farm is an agricultural district in Cameron Highlands, located 3km north of Brinchang town or 3km before Tringkap. Its central feature is a vegetable market along the main road - a popular shopping destination for visitors on weekends. Perched on a plateau next to Copthorne Hotel (formerly Equatorial Resort), traders and farmers sell the best of their crops and goods here from morning till evening.

    As the market nears closing time, look for great bargains on perishable stock like greens, corn, strawberries, flowers, food stuff and more. Some tourist attractions that lie within the vicinity include Rose Center, Ee Feng Gu and Butterfly Garden.

    Stop At: Big Red Strawberry Farm, Brinchang Malaysia

    Big Red Strawberry Farm is a agrotourism park growing hydroponic strawberries and organic vegetables. Perched on a steep hill slope overlooking Brinchang, the center is accessible by road from Star Regency Hotel, marked by large signboards from town. Once at the foothill, the entrance is located right next to Cactus Valley.

    Starting from the main entrance, visitors will climb up some steps to a koi fountain, flower nursery and mini petting zoo filled mostly with rabbits. The walkway then leads through the strawberry farm where self-picking for purchase is allowed. Finally, the walk ends at a cafe and shop where fresh strawberries and other local products may be purchased. Big Red is open daily from 8.30am till 6pm.

    Stop At: Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm, 75, Batu 43 Green Cow, Brinchang 39100 Malaysia

    Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm is an apiary at Green Cow at Kea Farm, about 3.5km north of Brinchang town right along the main road. A popular tourist attraction, the farm features a large visitor complex with several shopping galleries, local market, apiary museum, cafe and large parking facilities that accommodates travel coaches.

    Nestled below the complex is a vast garden that hosts a network of bee hives stored in colourful wooden boxes elevated along the hill slopes. A paved walk leads around the compound with colourful statues of bees and pretty flower bushes to look at. Open daily from morning till evening, Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm is free to visit.

    Stop At: Sungai Palas, Pahang, Malaysia

    Sungai Palas Garden is a tea plantation located in Brinchang about 5km north from town or 2km away from Kea Farm Market. Owned and managed by Boh Tea, it complements their main estate at Habu in Ringlet, featuring its very own tea center, visitor gallery and show factory. Likewise, the Sungai Palas tea garden is also shut up within its own isolated valley away from the main roa.

    The road in begins at left after the Butterfly Garden, with a large signboard that clearly indicates the way. After short but windy stretch, the view breaks into a magnificent panorama of vast tea fields stretched across the valley and slopes. Follow the road right from the signboard until the end; the Sungai Palas Boh Tea Center is perched on top a small hill.

    Stop At: Rose Valley, No.148, Kampung Tringkap, 39000 Tanah Rata, Pahang, Malaysia

    Rose Valley is a flower garden at Tringkap, located along the main road towards Brinchang town. Here, visitors can see over 450 different species of roses, flowers, plants and cacti on display along a pretty garden walk with European-inspired landscapes and monuments. Open daily from morning till evening, tickets are priced MYR5 for adults and MYR2 for children.
