Choquequirao Trek 4 Days - Huaynas Expeditions

Being the land route the only way to get to this citadel is the Choquequirao trek, which can be done at least in 4 days. The route has a distance of 60 km and takes place in one of the deepest canyons in the world, the Apurímac River, the trails are narrow and zigzag and the road has a wonderful view of majestic snow and creepy precipices.

Its name in Quechua means Cradle of Gold, located in Cusco, they are archaeological remains conformed by buildings and terraces distributed in different levels on a platform of approximately 150 square meters.

Choquequirao was a religious and cultural center of the region and it is presumed that the citadel was used as a nexus and control point of the accesses of the Jungle to the seat of the Empire, Cusco.
