Corktown and Riverside Beer Tour

This private action-packed beer and history tour, is filled with fascinating information and unique sight-seeing locations, as we traverse through hidden gem neighborhoods and areas not known to or seen by visitors!

With great facts and good beer recommendations, guests have a great time spending a couple hours with their expert guide, on a casual and fun day out on the town, drinking great beer and getting a real feel for the old Corktown and Riverside neighbourhoods!

You and your guest(s), will learn about centuries of history, early and modern beer history, visit hidden alleyways and see private laneways and row-housing, and drink plenty of beer!

We will visit AT LEAST two breweries and also a 19th century hotel and pub!

This is your tour though, so we can customize it anyway you like if you feel the urge!

Learn about the fascinating history of beer whilst visiting some of Toronto's lesser seen neighbourhoods that are known to few visitors!

      Starting with a short but detailed exploration of a 19th century Distillery, we move through historic and gorgeous Corktown, starting off by visiting the oldest standing church and oldest standing free school in Toronto. Next let me show you some of the finest and quaintest row housing stock in all of Toronto, dating back to the mid to late 19th century when workers and brewers inhabited the area!

      From the Distillery we head straight to our first brewery and (when permitted ; COVID19), our private brewery tour of a local microbrewery. The talented and knowledgeable brewmasters, staff and your guide will walk you through the entire process of making beer on-site.

      We will sit and learn about the beer as guests choose their own flight of Longslice Brewery craft beer!

      Next it's time for another beer! I will take you to a former gigantic brewery, with an attached pub inside a gorgeous Romanesque Revival building and former hotel dating to the late 19th century. Pint included of course!

      From here we will head to see some hidden street art and an absolute gem nestled in south Corktown.

      Drafted for the Pan-American Games in 2015, this is some of Toronto's best street art, complete with seasonal farmer's market, a basketball court featured in countless television and NBA commercials, and a full skate park

      We venture over the Don River right after exploring a former brewery on the banks of the river. Heading east to Riverside for our next adventure!

      After learning some of the early history of the east side of the Don River and early Riverside stories, we head to our next brilliant brewery, Eastbound Brewing Company!

      This husband and wife dynamic duo-owned microbrewery and restaurant, beer hall and tap room packs a punch!

      Great food and a lively atmosphere awaits your group as we then discuss beer and have a great time over flights of Eastbound's craft beer!

      Our final stretch of the tour features architecture, 19th century Victorian housing stocks, history and trendy eateries, bars and shops in Riverside.

      We finish at the second of two breweries in Riverside, Saulter Street Brewery.

      Located in a converted horse barn from days gone by, this hidden brewery offers an open-brewery plan self-navigable tour, a warm and inviting taproom, and a nice selection of local craft brews!
