Day tour to Rosendal - incl Hardangerfjord Express cruise

Let us take you through some of western Norway’s most striking scenery, with grand mountains rising from the fjords and imposing waterfalls. The Express Cruise is the easiest and fastest way to get from Bergen to the village of Rosendal. This is where you’ll find some of the region’s star attractions: dazzling Hardangerfjord, spectacular scenic cliff Trolltunga and Folgefonna National Park with the country’s third largest glacier. Not in the least Barony Rosendal, with roots in the 1600s, Scandinavia’s smallest castle in an idyllic setting with lovely, fragrant gardens as well as cafes and a restaurant.

    Stop At: Hardangerfjord, Norway

The Hardangerfjord is the fourth longest fjord in the world, and the second longest fjord in Norway. The fjord starts at the Atlantic Ocean about 80 kilometres (50 mi) south of the city of Bergen. The fjord stretches 179 kilometres (111 mi) from the Atlantic Ocean into the mountainous interior of Norway along the Hardangervidda plateau. If the Sognefjord is the King of the Norwegian fjords, then the Hardangerfjord is the Queen.

Hardanger has a lot to offer with many scenic gems; fjords, mountains, waterfalls, glaciers and orchards. The 800 meters (2400 ft) deep Hardangerfjord offers scenery that even the most well-travelled tourists will find spellbinding. Here you will find cultural and natural gems side by side.

    Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Rosendal, Rosendal, Kvinnherad Municipality, Hordaland, Western Norway

The pretty village Rosendal is located on the southern shore of the Hardangerfjord and about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) straight west of the vast Folgefonna glacier. The village is especially known for the Barony Rosendal, a historic estate located in the village.
