DAY 1: Amazing Bagan, Full day tour
What an amazing site! Over 2000 Pagodas, or temples, are stretching out across the plain, as far as the eye could see. No holidays to Myanmar would be complete without a visit to Bagan. This full day tour will be taking you through Bagan’s areas to visit the best-known temples with remarkable architectural designs. Our visit starts from any temples but we’ll definitely take you to Ananda, Dhammayangyi, and a brief stop is made for photo at Tharabar Gate. Visit to lacquerware workshop to experience the processes of making and the colorful Nayung Oo Market will be included. Lunch is served at local restaurant with traditional Burmese foods. Sunset in Bagan is with a horse drawn cart and enjoy a refreshment drinks and snacks at one of the quiet temple.
Day 2: Explore Anyar villages by 4x4 wheel car, full day
After seeing Bagan’s famous ancient temples, exploring rural Anayr villages which most tourists never see, is going to be an experience-rich travel in Bagan. Guide will connect with the locals and discover a real sense of community spirit as you witness what everyday life is like in these traditional villages in dry zone Bagan. Follow the road winding through scenic farmlands where locals tend to Thanakha, peanut, sesame and soya bean crops, and stop at villages unknown to tourists along the way. Observe how wooden slippers are produced, and see the region’s well-known soya paste, pong yay gyi is made, which is an essential side dish for typical Burmese meals. At one of the villages, we can see pottery. A brief stop at Bo Cho’s statue and the lake side where Bo Cho and his sons were killed by British. Continue to see Bagan emperor founder King Anawawrahta’s Buddha Image, and Shin Arahan’s ordination hall in one vilalge. Lunch is served at Thein Ywar after we offer a meal to monks. After lunch, we will continue visit to Sat Sat Yo village which is famous of yaung pay soo; ancient Myanmar kid’s hairstyle. Interaction with the children to play games, give presents and a contribution to the head monk at this village. Visiting to toddy hut, tasting palm sugar, palm juice and seeing how they make palm leaf products are interesting to learn.
Day 3: Explore Bagan by e-bike, full day
The best way to visit Bagan is by electric bike and we can stop by anywhere, any temple we want to stop and have a look. We will also visit Nyaung Market, the hidden places in Bagan and the riverside restaurants and temples. One can visit Bagan Archaeological Museum and evening we can enjoy another sunset view in Bagan at one of the riverside garden in Bagan.
