     Monastery of Santa Clara a Velha, was commissioned by D. Isabel de Aragão the Holy Queen. Due to its location on the bank of the Mondego River, the monastery was subject to frequent flooding, which forced the construction of an upper floor and the abandonment of the ground floor, which was almost always flooded. In the seventeenth century it was abandoned.
