- Meeting point (8:20 am - 08:30 am): As of 08:20 your guide in Spanish will be waiting for you at the Glasgow meeting point, you must be at least 10 minutes early as we will be leaving promptly at 8:30. The meeting point is at 266 George Street, Glasgow, G1 1QX.
First stop at Bannockburn (09:00 am - 09:15 am): We will arrive to Bannockburn battlefield at around 09:00am and we will have the chance to relive one of the most important battles for the Scots while having a walk. We will admire the impressive statue dedicated to this Scottish king until around 09:15am, when we will resume our journey towards Stirling.
Second stop at Stirling Castle (09:30am - 11:00): as we drive through the city of Stirling, you’ll be able to see its medieval cobbled streets and buildings, until we get to the castle esplanade around 09:30 am. You’ll have enough time to visit the castle or to explore the city, as we will be leaving at around 11:00am.
Third stop at Wallace Monument (11:15am - 12:15 pm): we will cross the river Forth admiring the famous Stirling Bridge until we get to the hill of Abbey Craig at around 11:15am . From the parking lot we will start a walk to the base of Wallace Monument to enjoy the beautiful views he had back in 1296, when the Battle of Stirling Bridge took place agains the English. We will depart at around 12:15 pm towards the Trossachs National Park.
Fourth stop at Aberfoyle (01:00 pm - 02:00 pm): we will get into the beautiful National Park as we are told about its traditional tales and legends until we reach the scenic village of Aberfoyle to have our lunch at around 01:00 pm. We will leave at 02:00 pm.
Fifth stop at Loch Katrine (02:20 pm - 03:20 pm): we will drive through one of the most beautiful areas of the Trossachs National Park, among forests and mountains, and we will have the chance to see the famous hairy cows from the Highlands (the hairy coos) as the guide tells us about the tales of the area until we arrive to the beautiful Loch Katrine, where we ‘ll have the chance to have a pleasant walk or even hire a bike to take in the magic of the surrounding nature.
Sixth stop at the distillery (04:00 pm - 05:15 pm): on our way to the distillery, we will get to know the touching life of our Scottish version of ‘Robin Hood’, the charismatic Rob Roy MacGregor, which took place in the area we will be travelling around. At around 04:00 pm, we will arrive at a distillery with a beautiful history before it started making the national beverage, Scotch Whisky. We will visit the distillery in order to learn about the process of this ancient beverage and to have a toast with it at the end of the tour. Departure time at 05:15 pm.
Arrival in Edinburgh (06:30 pm - 06:45 pm): after this day full of experiences, our guide will drop you off at the city centre in Edinburgh at around 06:30 pm.
