    City of Wadowice, home town of Karol Wojtyla, the future Pope John Paul II, is located 50 km (31 miles) from Krakow. In past it was a small village, at present it is one of the most important pilgrimage destination in Poland and Europe. Family House of John Paul II, now transformed into a museum, is situated on the edge of the Main Square in Wadowice. Another recognizable building in Wadowice is the Basillica of the Offering of the Blessed virgin Mary – place where Karol Wojtyla was baptized and confirmed. Inside the Basillica you will see a baptism certificate and baptism bowl.

    Kalwaria Zebrzydowska was founded in 1601. It is well-known for the Bernardine ( Grey Friar) Monastery. In the 17th century Baroque Church you will find famous miraculous painting of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Kalwaria.
