Full Day Bygone Crete Cooking Class Adventure

Spend a day in the great outdoors, exploring the rich Cretan culture, villages, and hiking trails that don’t see too many tourists.     We visit a local cultural museum and enjoy a coffee and a guided tour of the premises from the owner.

    The Public Market is located at the centre of the city, on central market square.
    Your guide will be standing outside the market, on the left, holding an Urban Adventures sign. You will walk together to our vehicle.

    Stop At: Monastery of Arkadi, Arkadi, Rethymnon, Crete 74100 Greece

    Our next stop is one of the island’s most famous landmarks. You’ll also have time to take a tour within its walls and admire the refectory, the museum, an icon shop, as well as the religious edifices.

    Duration: 1 hour

    Stop At: Amari, Amari, Rethymnon Prefecture, Crete

    Visit a 3 generations family-run farm where we’ll participate in a hands-on cooking class in a picturesque mountaintop village. Discover all the techniques required to make the perfect Cretan meal.

    While our meal is slowly being cooked in the wood-fired oven, we will head out to discover the herbs and flora of the region, visit one of the oldest olive trees in the world and explore an abandoned monastery.

    Enjoy your meal back at the farm.

    Walkthrough one of the most beautiful gorges in Crete. We’ll venture and explore for about half an hour through lush, green scenery and along running waters — to make room for some traditional Cretan sweets and raki, of course!

    Enjoy some local sweets with Raki shots before we take the road back to your hotel.
