Full-Day Kimironko Private Tour with Lunch
Kimironko is a bustling and vibrant multi-cultural commercial suburb of Kigali that offers visitors a typical African flair. Comparable with South Africa’s ‘Township Tours’, this unique full-day experience brings you right into the heart of the colors, noises and smells of urban Rwanda. Here, people from different educational, cultural and social backgrounds live together among enchanting shops and the busy market, and other commercial activities. Our work in Kimironko is fundamentally geared towards social and economic empowerment. The Urban Community-Based tourism is a first step towards enhancing and promoting the skills of young women in Kimironko. The visitors also have the opportunity to contribute to this work, not only do they bring income and experience but some decide to build more durable relationships and volunteer their time or money to the micro-enterprise ideas of the locals. This contributes to a more sustainable future.
