Day 1: Gobi Short Tour

Stop At: Flaming Cliffs, Mongolia
We will pick you up from Dalanzadgad airport. After that drive to the rock formation Bayanzag, also known as Flamming Cliffs to the world. This ancient red rock formation was formed 60-70 million years ago, and became famous as the Flaming Cliffs, when they were named thusly by Roy Andrew Chapman, an American explorer who visited Mongolia in 1920s. The striking red Bayanzag cliffs hold dinosaur fossils, eggs and bones all over the place and are neighbored by bushy Saxual tree forests. We will trek around the surrounding area and overnight in a Tourist ger camp.

Day 2: Khongor sand dune

Stop At: Khongoriin Els, Mongolia
We will drive to the Khongor sand dunes. In the afternoon you will see the marvelous Khongor sand dunes start looming in the distance. The dunes stretch for an extraordinary 180 kms and are as wide as 7-20km. The dunes lie on the northern part of a beautifully formed mountain range: Servei and Zuulun. The sound of masses of wind-blown sand can be heard from far away. This sound is so melodic that the 200m high sand dunes are also called the “Singing Dunes”. At the dunes there is an oasis called Khongor river with stunning greenery in the summer. You will have an opportunity to ride two humped Bacterian camel.

Day 3: Eagle valley

Stop At: Yolin Am Ice Field, Mongolia
Early morning,After breakfast we will drive to the majestic Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park where we will enjoy the incredible environment of the “Yol Valley” and Dungenee Valley. The valley is the unusual narrow canyon of a river that flows through the Zuun Saikhan Mountain. The sheer rock walls stand 200m and the canyon has stunning green meadows with a thick glacier layer that is deeply set between the walls. During the summer rainfall water runs from the top of the walls forming waterfalls. We will trek along the canyon and may have an opportunity to glimpse rarely found wild sheep Argali, mountain goat Ibex and Yol Lammergeier.

Day 4: Dalanzadgad airport

Stop At: Dalanzadgad, Dalanzadgad, Omnogovi Province
