Guatemala City Archaeological Experience

This tour values the importance of the first settlements in Guatemala City since the Maya pre-classic period. The archaeological site of Kaminal Juyú was the most important Maya city in the highlands of Guatemala during Pre-hispanic time. We will explore the archaeological site, the museum and we will climb one of the temples to enjoy the view of Guatemala City. After the visit of the site, we will continue to the historical center of Guatemala City and do a walking tour in 6 avenue to end at the main plaza of Guatemala City. Later before we end the morning we will visit the central market of the historical center.

    After we pick you up at the hotel, we transfer to the archaeological site of Kaminal Juyú. This ancient site has a small but very interesting museum we will visit. After the museum we walk around the site to see some of the archaeological work the archaeologist have done during the years. After the archaeological visir, we go to climb a temple and enjoyed the view of Guatemala City.

    After our archaeological visit we travel to 6avenue at the Historical Center of Guatemala City and start a walking experience. We will se the daily life activity and also the historical buildings of Guatemala. We end the morning doing a visit to the Central Market in the historical center.
