Annapurna Sunrise Trek and Wildlife Safari begins with visits to ancient Hindu and Buddhist Temples and beautiful old palaces, which are UNESCO Listed World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley. We then drive to Chitwan National Park and participate in various jungle activities and Wildlife Safaris looking for One Horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Deer, different species of Crocodiles and Birds. From Chitwan we drive to Pokhara and soak ourselves in the peace and tranquility of nature trekking for 3 full days for an amazing views of Annapurna Range.

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu

On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from our office will greet you at the airport and escort you to your pre booked hotel.

Day 2: Guided Kathmandu Sightseeing
Stop At: Boudhanath Stupa, Boudh, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage list, this enormous stupa where thousands of pilgrims gather daily to make a ritual circumnavigation of the dome, beneath the watchful eyes of the Buddha, which gaze out from the gilded central tower. This is one of the few places in the world where Tibetan Buddhist culture is accessible and unfetered, and the lanes around the stupa are crammed with monasteries and the surrounding is a paraphernalia for Buddhist life.

Stop At: Swayambhunath Temple, Swayamhu Circle Road, Kathmandu 44620 Nepal
This Buddhist Stupa, said to be 2000 years old is a perfect architecture of gilded spire and white washed dome located under thousands of fluttering prayer flags. From the spire, four faces of Buddha stare out across the valley in the cardinal directions. The entire structure is symbolic. The white dome represents the earth, the nose like shape below the piercing eyes is actually the nepali number ‘one’ signifying unity, and above is a third eye signifying the insight of the Buddha, while the 13 tiered beehive like structure at the top symbolizes the 13 stages that human being has to pass through to achieve nirvana. The base is ringed by prayer wheels which pilgrims circuiting the stupa spin each one as they pass by.

a pagoda style Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is considered to be the powerhouse of Hindu spiritual power in religious terms. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple is 6 kms from Kathmandu city and just a few hundred meters from the end of the runway at Tribhuwan International Airport. Non-Hindus are not allowed to enter the main temple, but you can view the temple from the east bank of River Bagmati. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temples are the cremation grounds.

is one of three royal palace squares in the Kathmandu Valley. This site was the royal residence until the 19th century where important ceremonies, such as the coronation of the Nepalese monarch use to take place.

Day 3: Drive to Chitwan and do the village tour and Tharu dance

Driving for 5 hours we reach our Lodge in Chitwan National Park where we spend two nights. We freshen up and go for village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus and also visit the National Park Visitor’s centre where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife & Sun set view from the bank of Rapti River.

Day 4: Activities in Chitwan
Stop At: Chitwan National Park, Main street Hatti Chwok, Sauraha 44200 Nepal
After breakfast in the lodge we go for canoe ride along the Rapti River which is an excellent opportunity for Bird Watching and for seeing the rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial. + Jungle Walk.

After lunch we go for Jeep Safari whcih is an excellent opportunity to see different kinds of animals such as deer, rhinoceros, wild bore, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger.

Day 5: Drive to Pokhara and trek to Tikhedhunga
Stop At: Birethanti Bridge, Birethanti 33700, Nepal
An early morning wake up call followed by breakfast and drive Nayapul, the trek start point. Our walk today follows the river upstream past rice paddies, cultivated fields, alder and mimosa forest to Tikhedunga. During the walk we will be following the BurungdiKhola and we should spot some of Nepal's fine river birds including White Capped River Chats, Plumbous Redstarts, Dippers and Kingfishers.

Day 6: Trek to Ghorepani

Today we cross the Burungdi Khola and then have a steep climb up a series of stone steps past wonderful terraced hillsides to the village of Ulleri. The trail continues climbing and now enters a beautiful forest. This lofty rhododendron forest is one of the highpoints of the trek as it is full of birds. We hope to see Rosefinches, Laughing Thrush, Woodpecker, Babblers and Warblers. We may also see Common Langur Monkeys and the very rare Red Panda or Muntjac. We eventually arrive at Ghorepani and can relax outside the lodge with great sunset views of the Annapurna Himal.

Day 7: Trek to Tadapani

This morning there is an optional ascent of Poon Hill (about an hour's walk above Ghorepani) to see the spectacular sunrise over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himals. As the sun pops out from behind the mountains the sky glows red and pink in the first rays of the sun and the panorama from the summit must be one of the world's great mountain vistas. Best seen at dawn, it's well worth the effort of the climb. After breakfast we head east, following a forested ridge to cross a pass at 3,193m. The trail then descends through dense forests of fir, spruce, oak and rhododendron home to many birds and a few mammals. Passing through Banthanti at 2,620m, we climb back to 2,745m, where we reach another small pass at Tadapani where we have a superb view of Annapurna South and the peak of Machhapuchhare.

Day 8: Trek to Ghandruk
Stop At: Old Gurung Museum, 5 Kaski, Ghandruk Nepal
An easier walk today through wonderful uninhabited forest with great mountain views. This forest is one of the highlights of the trek. Look out for monkeys and high forest birds including Tragopan, Juniper Finch and Rosefinches. We emerge from the forest just above Ghandruk, the largest Gurung village in the area. This area is mostly populated by subsistence farmers who tend the carefully laid out terraces. Stretching thousands of feet down steep hillsides they are a work of art and the Nepalis are experts at using every piece of land. Wheat, rice and vegetables are grown throughout the year on the well-tended terraces. Although there are now many new modern lodges in Ghandruk there are still older traditional houses with their neat slate roofs. In the afternoon your leader will take you on a village walk and in the evening we can relax in the teahouse and watch the sunset on Annapurna South.

Day 9: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara
Stop At: Pokhara Lakeside, Lakeside Rd, Pokhara 33700 Nepal
Descending on stone staircases towards the Modi Khola, and passing through Shyauli Bazaar we come to the pretty village of Birethanthi, where we have lunch overlooking the river. Another short walk brings us to NayaPul, where we will meet the road and drive back to Pokhara. There will be time this afternoon to explore the pretty lakeside Pokhara. You could go for a boat trip on the lake looking for water birds or just sit and relax in one of the many lakeside cafes.

Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu

Today we drive to Kathmandu for 7 hours along Trishuli River. We spend our last evening in Kathmandu in a farewell dinner together sharing photos recalling the excitements of trip and exchanging emails enjoying the cultural dance program in one of the traditional Nepalese restaurant.
