    Perched over a thousand feet above the Oahu coastline amid mountain peaks shrouded by clouds, the stone terrace overlooks the areas of Kaneohe and Kailua, Mokolii (a pointy island locals call Chinaman’s Hat) and the University of Hawaii’s marine biology research center, Coconut Island. Other notable landmarks that can be seen are Hawaii Pacific University’s Windward campus, Kaneohe Marine Corps Base and the Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden, which is part of the Honolulu Botanical Gardens.

    The Pali Lookout is a site of deep historical significance. Named “Pali” meaning "cliff" in Hawaiian, the Pali Lookout is the site of the Battle of Nuuanu, wherein 1795 King Kamehameha first won the struggle that finally united Oahu under his rule. This fierce battle claimed hundreds of soldiers’ lives, many of which were forced off of the Pali’s sheer cliffs.

    Historic Dole pineapple plantation was founded in 1901. Dole Plantation opened to the public as Hawaii’s “Pineapple Experience” in 1989. The visitor must try pineapple ice cream and other related products, plantation country store offering a wide variety of Dole Plantation gifts, local favorites, foods and refreshments including the world-famous Dole Whip.

    "Lunch Stop" Rocky coastal area & tidal pools teeming with small fish for snorkeling, plus showers & restrooms.

    Sharks Cove has been rated by Scuba Diving Magazine as one of the “Top Twelve Shore Dives in the World”. Located on Oahu’s world famous North Shore, this small rocky bay forms part of Pupukea Beach Park and boasts blue water and an impressive amount of sea life. The bottom is made up of large smooth boulders and coral heads forming small caves and ledges for marine life to hide. The walls of the surrounding cliffs provide calmer water-attracting schooling surface fish.

    Stop At: Banzai Pipeline, Sunset Beach Park, Pupukea, Oahu, HI

    One of the most famous surf spots on the North Shore, this beach is also known as the “Banzai Pipeline” for its barreling waves. During winter, massive swells break on a shallow reef, making it a dangerous beach for only the best and bravest surfers. The pipeline is notorious for huge waves which break in shallow water just above a sharp and cavernous reef, forming large, hollow, thick curls of water that surfers can tube ride.

    The Shaka or “hang loose” gesture started in the Kahuku Sugar Mill! In the early 1900’s HAMANA KALILI was a presser in the mill. He would feed the cane through the rollers to get the juice out. And that is how Hamana lost is three fingers-his middle, index and ring fingers. They were crushed in the rollers at the Kahuku Sugar Mill.

    Tropical Farms began as a roadside operation in 1987. Tropical Farms Macadamia Nut outlet is great little shop tucked away off the beaten path. Free coffee and macadamia nut samples are always good. Experience of cracking your own macadamia nut from a tree located behind their shop.
