North Shore Oahu "Surfers Paradise" Hoverboarding Tour 2hr30m

Explore the best part of the seven-mile miracle on a self-balancing all-terrain hoverboard guided tour. This hidden stretch of beaches contains some of the world’s greatest and most dangerous waves including Banzi Pipeline, Sunset Beach, Backdoor and Log Cabins. During winter months the top professional surfers on the planet crown a champion after a series of competitions on these world-class breaks.

Easily missed from the road and frequently without parking, glide on your hoverboard with your guide along a shaded pathway to beach access right of ways and enjoy the beautiful waves and scenic beaches. Feel the energy when the waves are large or take in the serenity of the ocean when it’s calm. Along the tour, your guide will point out some of the beautiful tropical plants, Ancient Hawaiian sacred areas, nearly secluded beaches to return to after the tour, and local tips on fun things to not miss while visiting the north shore.     Your North Shore adventure starts when you meet your guide and learn to take control of your own self-balancing all-terrain hoverboard at Pupukea Beach Park. In no time, you'll be hovering over pathway's to some of the most scenic spots and world-famous surf breaks on the planet!

    Duration: 20 minutes

    Stop At: Waimea Bay, Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, Oahu, HI 96712-1304

    Hovering to the beach park just north of Waimea "tree tables beach" we take in the views and learn about this powerful and dangerous winter surf break, "the Eddie Classic" surf competition held only when there is a minimum of 20 foot waves (30-40 foot wave faces), nearby prior Heiau Hawaiian temples, and the location of where the first westerners stepped on Oahu in 1779.

    Stop At: Sharks Cove, 59-711 Kamehameha Hwy between Waimea Bay and the Banzai Pipeline, Pupukea, Oahu, HI 96712-9404

    A wonderfully scenic lava rock outcropping with protected tidal lagoons, Sharks Cove is a favorite for snorkeling and scuba on the North Shore. Grassy areas above picturesque palm trees line the cove with the steep cliffs of the Waianae Range easily viewed in the distance.

    Stop At: Pele's Followers, 59-727 Kamehameha Highway Haleiwa Pupukea Beach Park, Oahu, HI

    Hoverboarding on protected running paths and sidewalks we make our way to many hidden beach right-of-ways between the oceanfront mansions. Jumping off our hoverboards we walk along the beach to view Pele's Followers and learn about the Hawaiian Goddess of Fire.

    Passing tropical flora and fauna we hover past Log Cabins surf break to a picturesque lookout called Rock Piles Beach. A charming manicured lifeguard stand sits atop a tall bluff at the beginning of a stretch of wide sandy beach leading north toward the most famous surf breaks on Oahu.

    Stop At: Banzai Pipeline, 59-473 Ke Waena Rd, Haleiwa, HI 96712, USA

    With many opportunities to get off our hoverboards and take pictures on the beach, the natural sand amphitheater of Pipeline is a highlight. Large hollow waves crash over sharp shallow coral very close to the shore making for unforgettable photo opportunities of brave surfers hoping to ride inside the barrel and escape unharmed. Many lives have been lost at this break that some say is the deadliest in the world. Along this stretch, we pass in front of the sponsored surf company oceanfront houses like Volcom, Quicksilver, Billabong and more where teams of the worlds best surfers prepare for the Triple Crown of Surfing and the World Surf League championship held in the winter along these shores.

    Stop At: Sunset Beach, Sunset Beach, Oahu, Hawaii

    Continuing on to Sunset Beach we stop for a photo at the famous curved palm tree and to marvel at the long point break waves. Several winter surf competitions are held here and the sloping sand banks make it easy to view the beach in both directions.

    Stop At: Ted's Bakery, 59-024 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, HI 96712, USA

    Before turning back, time permitting, we stop at a locally famous bakery Teds, with the opportunity to grab a fresh coconut haupia or other pie to eat on the beach at our last stop at Sunset Point.
