Day 1: Hajar Moutains
Stop At: Birkat Al Mouz Ruins, Nizwa Oman
Meet your guide early in Muscat to leave the city for the villages of Hajar Mountains. It takes about one hour and a half to reach your first destination, the picturesque Birkat al Mouz. This village is perched on the mountain and offers plenty of opportunity for a quiet walk for half an hour

Stop At: Al Hamra, Al Hamra, Ad-Dakhiliyah Governorate
Drive another 45 minutes to arrive at Al Hamra. The old town with its mudbrick houses makes a perfect lunch break environment.

Stop At: Jebel Shams, Al Hamra Oman
Start an off-road journey to the top of Jebel Shams, Oman’s highest peak. The view over the valley is breathtaking and deserve a stop.

Stop At: Misfat al Abreyeen, Al Hamra Oman
Before reaching Nizwa, your last destination of the day, stop by Misfat Al Abriyeen. Walk for an hour is this authentic mountain village to discover the lives of locals. Finally, reach Nizwa where you rest for the day.

Day 2: Wahiba Sands
Stop At: Nizwa, Nizwa, Ad-Dakhiliyah Governorate
If your journey to Nizwa happens on a Friday, wake up early to attend the Cattle Market. Observe this picturesque exchange between traders and buyers for about half an hour. Whatever the day, shop some local delicacies at Nizwa Souk before climbing up on top of its ancient Fort.

Stop At: Ibra, Ibra, Ash-Sharqiyah Governorate
Continue east to enter the Ash-Sharqiyyah region after two hours. The visit starts by Ibra, one of Oman’s oldest city, and gateway to the desert. Walk into the historical city-centre for an hour and explore its traditional market, dating back to when Ibra was a major trading centre.

Stop At: Wahiba Sands, Wahiba Sands, Ash-Sharqiyah Governorate
Leave the city behind and drive another two hours to enter the land of Bedouins: Wahiba Sands. In the middle of the dunes, meet this Arabian nomadic tribe in their desert camp, where you spend the night. If you request it, you can ride camels or have fun with other activities in the sand. In the evening, share a traditional barbecue and simply enjoy the myriad of stars in the sky.

Day 3: Ras al-Jinz
Stop At: Wadi Bani Khalid, Road 23 apprx. 40 km from Bidiyyah Muscat-Sur Road, Muscat 113 Oman
After a traditional breakfast in the desert, says farewell to the Bedouin family and drive two hours toward the east coast. Explore the Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most famous wadi, a word which designates an oasis. You can swim in its large natural pools and relax in its scenery of palm trees.

Stop At: Sur, Sur, Ash-Sharqiyah Governorate
It takes 2 hours to reach the fishermen city of Sur. Facing the sea, it’s a perfect scenery for a picnic, before visiting its Dhow Boat Yards or walking on the beachfront for half an hour.

Stop At: Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve, Ras Al Jinz, Sur 411 Oman
For the end of the day, drive to the Ras al Jinz beach. Here is the Turtle Reserve, where the endangered green turtle has found refuge. At night, they come to lay their eggs on the beach, a show you might be lucky enough to attend.

Day 4: Wadi Shab & Bimmah Sinkhole
Stop At: Wadi Shab, 50km West of Sur, Sur 411 Oman
Leave early in the morning for your last day of exploration. It starts with the discovery of Wadi Shab. The best way to explore it is on foot, so be ready for an easy 45-minutes hike. Don’t be afraid to get wet as you’ll encounter many waterfalls and natural pools. Swim and relax in this amazing natural landscape.
As you get back in the car, quickly stop by the nearby Fins Beach and its pristine white sands. For sure you deserve another swim here after enjoying a picnic by the beach.

Stop At: Bimmah Sinkhole, Hawiyat Najm Park, Muscat Oman
Driving some 20 minutes north, discover the natural wonder of Bimmah Sinkhole, a large and deep cave with a natural pool. The legend says that it has been formed by the fall of a star.

Stop At: Wadi Al Arbeieen, 2 Hours Drive Away From the Capital Muscat., Muscat 113 Oman
On your way to the capital city, explore one last natural splendour, the Wadi Arbyaeen. During two hours, explore the valley and appreciate its large natural pools. Return to Muscat to reach the city by the end of the day.
