Private Food Tour on Sorrento Coast with Local Driver and Gnocchi Making

An amazing way to spend a day in Sorrento is by joining this food tour of Sorrento, where a driver will accompany you in the best places of the Penisola Sorrentina to learn how to cook and eat fresh typical food. First of all you will visit an olive grove where you will learn the manufacture process of olive oil and try different types of flavoured oil, such as orange oil, vanilla oil, lemon oil and many more. Next you will go to a cheese factory and learn how to make mozzarella. Here you will be offered a sample of different cheeses. Your last stop will be a restaurant with its own vegetable garden.     On this journey of the Sorrento Coast you will pass by many small towns famous for their cuisine and authenticity of their food.

    In Meta di Sorrento you will live the unique experience of learning how to make mozzarella by a true local with fresh milk! The cheese factory is owned by a local and offers products of its own farm. Cheeses, mozzarella etc. are made by fresh milk and treated with antique traditions and methods of Sorrento’s culture.

    In Sant’Agnello you will visit the olive and lemon tree grove and the oil mill where fresh olive oil is made. Sant’Agnello is a fraction of Sorrento in the hills of the Penisola Sorrentina, it is a location rich of olive trees and lemon trees that become respectively oil and limoncello. Here you will have to opportunity to try different types of oil flavoured with oranges, lemons, vanilla etc.

    Finally, Piano di Sorrento is where you will have lunch overlooking the sea. At first you will pick the vegetables in the garden behind the restaurant, then with a professional chef you will learn how to cook them with traditional Sorrento recipes.
