Pass By: Ocean Drive, Ocean Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33139

Get off the beaten path and combine historic Miami with the scenic Magic City by visiting a handful of eclectic neighborhoods.

The tour begins with a pickup from most of the hotels in Miami Beach and Downtown Miami —

Pass By: Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139

I criss cross Lincoln Road a few times during the city tour to highlight where to go around sunset and at night when it lights up. One of my best drop off locations to end the city tour.

Pass By: Venetian Pool, 2701 De Soto Blvd, Coral Gables, FL 33134-4845

Spectacular natural spring pool with a long history. Several Tarzan scenes were filmed there as Johnny Weissmuller was the lifeguard. Can stop for 5 minutes to see the photos if requested.

Pass By: Little Haiti, Miami, FL

Rapidly gentrifying Haitian area once called Lemon City, Lemon City was incorporated in 1862. There is an artists market on weekends but usually we just pass through without stopping.

Pass By: South Beach, Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139

South Beach is the largest concentration of art deco buildings in the the world. Popular points of interest include bustling Ocean Drive (closed to traffic), Casa Casuarina (also known as the Versace Mansion), exclusive Star Island, the Lincoln Road Mall, Espanola Way, South Pointe Park and the New World Park. South Beach has 5 zones, which i know very well as a long time South Beach resident.

Pass By: The Kampong, 4013 S Douglas Rd Biscayne Bay, Coconut Grove, Miami, FL 33133-6840

Very historical site. I stop in front and explain history with photos, but recommend my custom tour if you want to stop here because it will take up too much time on the standard city tour.

Stop At: Miami Design District, 3841 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33137-3606

Ultra chic shopping district with great architecture. Usually a quick stop depending on guests' mood.

    Duration: 10 minutes

Pass By: Wynwood, 50 NW 24th St Suite 104, Miami, FL 33127-4447

There's also the Wynwood Art District (always a cool stop, with its ever-changing painted-wall murals), the Miami Design District, Little Haiti, Downtown Miami/Brickell, and the Key Biscayne Bridge.

Pass By: Espanola Way, Miami Beach, FL 33139

Cutest street in all Miami, Spanish village on one side, Iconic Art Deco on the other. Next to beautiful Feinberg School. Can be worth a 10-15 minute stroll if requested.

Stop At: Coconut Grove, Virginia Street, Miami, FL 33133

In Coconut Grove, every native's favorite part of Miami, popular sites include the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, plus the celebrity homes of Madonna, Sylvester Stallone, LeBron James, and many more. There's also the urban Peacock Park, the Kampong botanical garden, Merrie Christmas Park, the Barnacle Historic State Park, Plymouth Congregational Church, El Jardin (listed on the US National Register of Historic Places), and more.

Stop At: Peacock Park, 2820 McFarlane Rd, Miami, FL 33133-6009

.Lastly, see the manatees of Coral Gables, the Miami Biltmore Hotel, and the historic Venetian Pool.

The tour ends with a drop-off at select hotels in Miami Beach and Downtown Miami.

Pass By: Rickenbacker Bridge, Rickenbacker Causeway, Key Biscayne, FL

Spectacular birds eye view of Biscayne Bay, Brickell and Downtown Miami. Also pass by Miami Marine Stadium and Virginia Key beach.

Pass By: Morningside Park, 750 NE 55th Ter, Miami, FL 33137-2334

Morningside is an historic neighborhood bordering Little Haiti with beautiful mostly Spanish Revival architecture.

Pass By: Upper Buena Vista, 184 NE 50th Ter Only 2 Minutes Away From The Miami Design District, Miami, FL 33137-2719

Historic neighborhood with beautiful 1920's homes, a mix of Spanish Revival and Cracker houses. A quick 5 minute loop.

Pass By: Morningside Park, 750 NE 55th Ter, Miami, FL 33137-2334

Charming Historic 1920's neighborhood bordering Biscayne Bay. Park frequented by Cassius Clay in the 60's. 10 minute loop.

Stop At: The Miami Circle, Brickell Point, Miami, FL

3000 year old Archaeological site surrounded skyscrapers. Never photogenic on the Miami River. Always a stop on the standard city tour. Quickly get out for 5-10 minutes.

    Duration: 5 minutes

Pass By: Coral Gables Merrick House and Gardens, 907 Coral Way, Coral Gables, FL 33134-4824

The founding family's home in Coral Gables on spectacular Coral Way. Now a museum that rarely opens.

Pass By: New World Symphony, 500 17th St, Miami Beach, FL 33139-1862

Frank Gehry's concert hall and park built for his childhood friend, symphony conductor Michael Tilson Thomas. Highlighted because the park fills up as the concert hall wall becomes a huge screen for Wallcasts during symphony nights.

Stop At: Matheson Hammock Park, 9610 Old Cutler Rd, Miami, FL 33156-4268

Beautiful view of Coral Gables homes facing Biscayne Bay with Downtown in the distance. WPA built the park in the 30's with a huge pool that drains with the tide. Great restaurant for foodies! Not always included in standard tour!

    Duration: 5 minutes

Pass By: de la Cruz Collection, 23 NE 41st St, Miami, FL 33137-3513

Best art collection in Miami. Interns on every floor to help explore the exhibit. Tricky hours so not always a stop. Always pass by to visit the famous parking lot across the street.

The tour passes thru Brickell Village and underneath Brickell City Center near a manatee site. The rooftop bar and restaurant is only available on custom tours.
