Hisor Fort is conveniently located along the Khanaka River, in Hisor Valley. The building has gone through different reconstructions, renovations, and additions. On the territory of the Gissar Historical and Cultural Reserve near the Kukhn madrasah is the Mausoleum of Mahdumi Azam. Mahdumi Azam is not a name, but a kind of title, which translates as "The Greatest Master." On the territory of Central Asia there are several mausoleums under this name. Stop At: Caravanserai Khishtin, Hisor Valley, Hisor Tajikistan

The caravanserai Khishtin is one of the extant monuments of the Hissar historical and cultural complex. This medieval guest house was built in 1808 next to the Kukhna madrasah. “Khishtin” is translated as “made of brick”, since the fragments of the buildings foundation extant up to date as well as the ruins of the walls were completely laid of burnt brick. This is rather unusual, since burnt brick was more often used in construction of rulers’ palaces, madrasahs and mosques.

Tajikistan's national museum is housed in an impressive modern building with an elliptical roof and giant atrium. The collection encompasses three main sections – natural history, archaeology and contemporary fine arts – and displays include minerals (including a giant mineral tree), dioramas of snow leopards and Marco Polo sheep, suits of armor, and musical instruments. Among the most important exhibits are the murals from ancient Penjikent and an exquisite 10th-century wooden mehrab (mosque prayer niche) found near Ayni.

      Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Flagpole with the Flag of Tajikistan, Somoni street, Dushanbe 734000 Tajikistan

The Dushanbe Flagpole is a flagpole located in front of the Palace of Nations in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
At 165 meters (541 feet), it was the tallest free-standing flagpole in the world from its completion in 2011 until the 2014 erection of the (171m) Jeddah Flagpole.
      The flagpole flies a 30 m × 60 m (98 ft × 197 ft) Flag of Tajikistan weighing 700 kilograms (1,540 pounds).

      Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Rudaki Park, Rudaki Ave, Dushanbe 734000 Tajikistan

Extensive Rudaki Park, with its beautiful canopy of mature trees, offers a series of pathways through flower gardens and alongside lakes and fountains. Home to the giant flagpole and a much-photographed statue of Rudaki, and with glorious views of the city's iconic new buildings and monuments, it makes for a great location for a picnic in summer or snowy vistas in winter.

      Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Statue of Ismoil Somoni, Maydani Azadi (Freedom Square), Dushanbe 734000 Tajikistan

One of Dushanbe’s most impressive modern monuments, this statue celebrates the 10th-century founder of the Samanid dynasty. With an art-deco quality to the design of the monument's golden casing and a prominent position on Friendship Square, it has become a key rendezvous point in the city.
