Luberon is a splendid corner of Provence, home to a series of remarkably picturesque villages that host a range of colorful weekly markets. This full-day tour takes you to a fascinating drive through the French countryside up to Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, a delightful village on the banks of the Sorgue river renowned for its antique shops. After exploring its maze of canals, the driver will take you to Fontaine de Vaucluse, at the source of the Sorgue river, and to Gordes, a pretty hilltop village with a cluster of magnificent stone buildings and scenic alleys. Back on the road, you will stop briefly at the Abbey of Senanque to take some photos before continuing towards the colorful town of Roussillon. On the way back to Aix-en-Provence you will see the hilltop village of Bonnieux and the spectacular cliff-lined road called Combe of Lourmarin.

Isle sur la Sorgue is a charming Provencal town. The numerous canals and branches of the Sorgue have given the town the nickname of the Venice of the Comtat. L'Isle Sur la Sorgue is the chosen home of many antique and second-hand goods dealers. Each weekend, the market counts about 300 stalls, and more than 500 during the antique fairs at Easter and August 15, attracting an international clientele. It was the birthplace of the poet Rene Char, the town is also home to many galleries and exhibitions.
