Stop At: Punta Tombo, Ruta Provincial 1 approx 100 km from the cities of Rawson & Trelew, Dos Pozos Argentina

We leave the city of Puerto Madryn heading south taking National Route No. 3 (almost 190km of asphalt) towards the Punta Tombo Nature Reserve, the most important penguin colony in the American continent. The penguins arrive annually to this place to nest, mate, have their young and mutate and then start the journey back to Northeast South America and cyclically return the following year. Punta Tombo is a rocky strip 3.5 km long by 600 m wide that extends towards the sea. It has beaches that present a slight decline that penguins take advantage of to remake and create their nests.
Upon arrival we will pay the entrance to the reserve and we will enter the interpretation center where we can observe all the fauna of the place and learn what is necessary to enter the reserve and understand the actions of the penguins. At the exit of the interpretation center a minibus will take us to the beginning of the trails where our walk of approximately 1.5 to 2 km will begin. Walking the perfectly laid out trails, we can surprise ourselves observing the feverish activity that dominates the colony. According to the time, you can see some penguins digging their caves, fighting for the territory, moving in search of their nests, mating or feeding their chicks. At the same time, the continuous buzz of braying - the calling of the adult penguins they use to drive strangers away and attract their partner - dominates the environment. Penguins coexist with other seabirds that have chosen this site to nest, such as the gray or southern cooking gulls, the skuas or robbers, two species of cormorants –the royal and the black-necked or rocker-, the steam duck, Antarctic pigeons, and several species of terns and giant petrels. Given the extension of the area, we can also see guanacos, piches, maras, choiques, foxes, cuis and martinetas.
At the end of the tour we can have lunch in the reserve's cafeteria and then return to the city of Puerto Madryn.

    Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Rawson, Rawson, Province of Chubut, Patagonia

The unique conditions of the place allow the possibility of enjoying the beauty of the landscapes and the wealth of marine fauna that inhabits the waters of Bahía Engaño.
This experience starts from our jetty in the Port of Rawson, traveling the last stretch of the Chubut river to its mouth, observing the typical "yellow fleet" boats dedicated to prawn fishing.

The approach to a small occasional roost of sea lions with one hair is achieved and an adequate approach to the different seabirds including some migratory ones, on the banks of the river, which allows differentiating different species, such as: oystercatchers, royal cormorants and biguá, Crested duck and spoon, seagulls cook and brown hood. Depending on the season, you can see different species of terns, witch herons, cauquén, rayador, etc.
Then we go to the sea to meet these little dolphins that have the characteristic of being sociable, active and excellent swimmers. They are themselves who often approach the boat, swimming in the bow and jumping out of the water. Turning sighting into a dynamic and fun ride.

The trip is interpreted throughout its journey by a guide specialized in marine fauna and birds. Duration approximately 1 hour.

Navigation is subject to the current hydrometeorological conditions, so it is of great importance to reserve at least 1 day in advance via email or telephone to coordinate the departure time.

Each exit is unique and unrepeatable, so we cannot anticipate what kind of meeting we will have: these mammals are in their natural habitat and in absolute freedom.

    Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Museo Paleontologico Egidio Feruglio, Avenida Fontana 140, Trelew U9100GYO Argentina

Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum (MEF) (optional entrance). Among other attractions, the museum exhibits skeletons of dinosaurs of different species found in the region, murals painted by set designers from the Teatro Colón that set the pieces in its time, thousands of fossil samples classified according to different periods of time, eras, Antiquity and family genre that show prehistory itself. The MEF is not only a museum, it is also a center of scientific activities in South America that has an international reputation, so on the way to the exit, large windows allow scientists to spy on the work of cleaning, restoring and classifying the fossil pieces.
