The monastery is a complex of cultural, dwelling and farming buildings which take about 8800 square meters. Here you can learn about the history of the monastery and see unique architecture – covered wooden stairs, carved verandas, arches and colonnades, Hreliova tower, frescos and murals. It is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List. There is no entrance fee in the monastery complex and the church.

The museum of the Rila Monastery Complex has a permanent exhibition that presents more than 600 exhibits the historical development of the monastery. There is an entrance fee for the museum, but not for the monastery complex.
