Your tour begins when you are picked up from your accommodation in Tacloban city. Then, you will be traveling to your first destination, the Sto. Niño Shrine and Museum. One of the most visited spots in the city, this historical shrine and museum is known to contain a vast collection of art pieces and artifacts collected during the Marcos regime.
Then, you will proceed to MacArthur Landing Memorial Park, where life-sized statues that commemorates the landing of former US General Douglas MacArthur. Learn about the historical significance of this landmark before moving to San Juanico Bridge. It is said to be the longest bridge in the Philippines that stretches from Samar to Leyte across the San Juanico strait.
From there, you will be going to the Eva Jocelyn shrine, a memorial built in remembrance of the people who died during typhoon Yolanda. Eva Jocelyn was a part of the shipwreck that ran aground in Tacloban, killing the residents of the area.
After paying your respects, you will be heading to Sto. Niño church. Sto. Niño is the patron saint of Tacloban city, and this church is home to the miraculous image of the Senyor Santo Niño. Then, you will be going to the Leyte Provincial Capitol, the seat of power in Leyte. This historic building located in Tacloban was once the location of the Commonwealth Government of the Philippines.
Next is the Tacloban Astrodome, also known as the Tacloban Convention Center, an indoor arena that has a seating capacity of 4,500. Last but not the least, you will be stopping by the Pasalubong center, where you can buy souvenirs and delicacies before getting dropped off at your accommodation. Departure Point :
