ou start the visit of the city of Dakar, we admire the architecture and some places and monuments, like the colonial station from where the famous Dakar-Bamako train still leaves, up to the pier

Stop At: Goree Island, Goree Island, Dakar Region
we will take the ferry to the island of Gorée, a UNESCO world heritage site. Here, in the middle of the narrow alleys, pretty little houses in bright colors, bougainvillea and craft shops, we do not fail to visit the Maison del Esclaves, a colonial house from 1776 where the slaves were locked up before being set on the road for the Americas, we also visit the Bastions with a magnificent view of the whole island. We have lunch at a local restaurant

Day 3: Lac Rose / Lompoul
Stop At: Lake Retba, Rufisque Senegal
We set off to explore Lac Rose, a lagoon surrounded by dunes, where the waters take on a curious pink color due to the mineral salts present (famous for being the last stage of the Paris-Dakar Rally). Let's take a suggestive tour of the salt marshes by pirogue, here we can observe the inhabitants in their daily life

Day 4: Lompoul / Djoudj / Saint-Louis
Stop At: Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary, North of St. Louis, Saint-Louis Senegal
departure for a visit to the Djoudj ornithological park, open from November to April, it is an incredible site for bird watching on the estuary of the Senegal river, a canoe excursion that will allow us to admire a large quantity of 'bird species, such as: Pelicans, cormorants, ospreys and flamingos, with the possibility of seeing even the rare sea turtles that inhabit this area.

Stop At: Saint-Louis, Saint-Louis, Saint-Louis Region
Return to Saint-Louis and lunch based on thiéboudieune, the typical national dish, (risotto with tomato sauce and served with fried fish in a specialty of Senegalese gastronomy). In the afternoon, visit the colonial city in a horse-drawn carriage: LThe historic center of Saint Louis, UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Governor's Palace (outside visit), the fishermen's quarter of Guet N'Dar , a very narrow boulevard full of fish (teeming with activity), and the craft and art workshops, where you will find beautiful local sculptures and paintings.

Day 5: St Louis / Touba / Kaolack
Stop At: Touba, Touba, Diourbel Region
leaves for Touba, holy city capital of the Mourid brotherhood. We visit the impressive finely decorated mosque (characteristic of the five minarets and six mausoleums, including that of Cheick Amadou Bamba, founder of the sect)

Stop At: Kaolack, Kaolack, Kaolack Region
We continue to Kaolack, then we visit the Peulh (ethnic minority) and have lunch at a local restaurant along the way.

Day 6: Kaolack / Gambia / Ziguinchor / Egay Island
Stop At: Ziguinchor, Ziguinchor, Ziguinchor Region, Casamance
We leave for Casamance crossing the Gambia. Along the way, we stop for lunch in Ziguinchor. After a jump in the capital, continue to the island of Egay. Beautifully located in one of the most secret and wildest corners. Visit the sacred cheese maker of Diokher, the Diambalang impluvium hut. Then continue on the island.
Eggueye Island, a quiet place in the heart of the mangrove, is 20 minutes by canoe from the national road which connects Ziguinchor to Cap Skirring. In the island a deep silence of the interrupted by the folds of the spotted Hyena at night. If you pass by there, I suggest you take a break before the place is caught in the fury of our time. An oasis of peace in a well-preserved mangrove environment.

Day 7: Carabane / Cap Skirring
Stop At: Elinkin, Elinkin, Ziguinchor Region, Casamance
we leave for Elinkine, where we go by motorized canoe on the island of Carabane for lunch, an old Portuguese then French colonial outpost. We visit the island, an important center for the exchange of local products and for the transit of passengers to the different tributaries of the Casamance river delta. Breakfast in a local restaurant

Stop At: Oussouye, Oussouye, Ziguinchor Region, Casamance
We return to the mainland and continue to Oussouye, crossing some traditional villages. In these villages, we can witness scenes of daily life such as the preparation of palm wine. (Depending on your availability, we have the opportunity to meet the king of Bobedioum in the sacred forest)

Day 8: Cap Skirring
Stop At: Cap Skirring, Senegal
the day to enjoy the fantastic Cap Skirring beach. Free lunch. Afternoon visit to the sacred cheese maker and its DIOLA museum: This open-air museum shows all the objects of the Diola traditions, musical instrument, tools used for fishing, cooking, African fetishes, the outfits of traditional wrestlers with the different colored loincloths according to the age class, the material used to collect the palm wine, all the utensils are made with elements drawn from nature.

We leave for Joal to visit Fadiout, a small island entirely made of shells. In this enchanting place, we can admire the Cathedral, with a magnificent view of the granaries on stilts and the colorful cemetery mixing Muslims and Christians, (great example of religious tolerance)
