The Cotswolds Private Guided Day Tour from London

    Stop At: Burford, Burford, Cotswolds, England

    Known as the gateway to the Cotswolds, Burford is a beautiful, medieval market town with a picturesque main street and a beautiful historic church. The river Windrush meanders around this church made of Cotswold stone. There are quirky English shops and plenty of opportunities for a traditional cream tea in the town centre.

    On arrival, your tour guide will show you around and point out the high street and medieval church where your guide can point out things of historical interest.

    Then you can browse the High Street and treat yourself to a cream tea in one of the many quaint pubs and cafes. Then we will head down to picturesque Bibury.

    Famous for its traditional wool weaver's cottages, Bibury is a great photo stop. Walk along the river by the weaver's cottages and up to the trout farm and watch the swans float around the river.

    The coach will drop us off by a little bridge where we will cross to see the famous weavers' cottages, where you can take an iconic Cotswolds photo. Then we will walk along the river to the trout farm where the coach will meet us.

    After this, we will continue on to Bourton on the Water.

    This is an old market town, the market for the wool that was milled in Bourton on the Water, so has a large town square. It was part of the old Eavsham Abbey and here you can see the old market cross, soak up some Civil War history and visit one of the oldest pubs in Britain.

    Bourton on the water is famous for its many little bridges that cross the River Windrush, as it was once a mill town, using the river to turn the watermills. This is a great place for lunch, cream teas, antique shopping and photographs.

    We will walk from the coach park into the village where you may recognise the little bridges crossing the river from film and TV. Here you can explore the Model Village, The Motoring Museum, Birdland and relax for lunch in a traditional pub.
