Unique Italian cookery experiences

Enjoy an 8 day cookery and culinary vacation with luxury accommodation at a 17th century private castle, nestling in the tranquil hills of the Monferrato region of Piedmont.

You will receive 4 x 3.5 hour cookery lessons from local Italian chefs.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner each day is included and prepared in our kitchen. Wines, mineral water, soft drinks etc are included and you will, on three occasions, be taken to local restaurants.

You will experience escorted culinary and wine tasting tours, including a visit to the local food market and to several wine and food producers.

A whole day excursion to Portofino, weather and season permitting, including lunch in the famous harbour of this beautiful fishing village is part of your vacation.

The 12m x 6m swimming pool is available for guests to relax, swim, sunbathe.

    Welcome drinks at Castello di Montalero

    Free-time to relax, sunbathe, swim, walk.....

    Aperitivi followed by dinner.

                                                 Sunday:

    Leisurely breakfast.

    Excursion to leading wine producer, Mauro Gaudio, in Vignale Monferrato.

    Lunch at Mongetto Dre Caste restaurant, Vignale Monferrato.

    Return to castello to capture the last rays of the Italian sun by the pool, followed by a light, candle lit dinner on the terrace.

                                                Monday:

    Leisurely breakfast

    Cookery course - 9.00am until 12.30pm.

    Lunch of the day's course theme.

    Afternoon break, sunbathe, swim, relax.

    Visit to local salami and lardo producer.

    Visit to local wine producer.

    Return to castello for aperitivi and dinner.

                                               Tuesday:

    Early breakfast.

    Portofino excursion.

    Lunch at Portofino.

    Return to castello for aperitivi and dinner.

                                              Wednesday:

    Leisurely breakfast.

    Visit to Casale Monferrato food market and some nearby architectural treasures.

    Return to castello for lunch.

    Cookery course - 2.30am until 6.00pm.

    Late afternoon break, sunbathe, swim, relax.

    Dinner of the day's course theme and aperitivi at the castello.

                                               Thursday:

    Leisurely breakfast.

    Cookery course - 9.00am until 12.30pm.

    Lunch of the day's course theme.

    Truffle hunting (For vacations after 15th September).

    Wine tasting at the world famous 'Braida' cantina of the Bologna family. (Prior to 15th September).

    Wine tasting at Marchesi Incisa della Rochetta. (Prior to 15th September).

    Dinner at local restaurant.

                                                Friday:

    Leisurely breakfast.

    Cookery course - 9.00am until 12.30pm.

    Lunch of the day's course theme.

    Visit to local goat cheese producer.

    Visit to Mazzetti Grappa Distillery.

    Visit to Olivola for aperitivi.

    Return to castello for dinner.

    Dependant on flight timings, sunbathe, swim, relax, prior to transfer to Malpensa.
