The garden was established in 1975 and covers 22 hectares (55 acres). In addition to displays of plants from all over the world, the garden boasts an extensive collection of plants native to British Columbia. In addition to water features, the garden features works of art including carved totem poles, stone sculptures and a maze for the family to enjoy.
