Stop At: Lower Yellowstone River Falls, Yellowstone River, Yellowstone National Park, WY

Here in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, you’ll see the most famous waterfall in the park. The Lower Falls inspired Yellowstone’s first artist Thomas Moran to paint the falls from where we now call Artist Point. This area of Yellowstone is truly spectacular. The canyon is full of colors from the rhyolitic rock and the thermophiles growing from the bottom of the canyon walls. This is truly a must-see.

      Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Old Faithful, Center Loop Road, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190

Old faithful is Yellowstone’s most popular attraction. Named by General Washburn this has been a geological wonder for all to see for hundreds of years. Although we may have all heard of it, knowing why this phenomenon happens is fascinating. Take a tour to hear the history of early settlers seeing Old Faithful for the first time and learn the science behind it.

      Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190

This is such a beautiful site to see. Take a short walk to see this amazing canyon. The rock formations and the waterfalls from the Yellowstone river will surely give you some of the most scenic photos you’ll get on this trip. Here you can sit and enjoy the views. Maybe see the wildlife migrations areas. Or you can take a stroll around the canyon rim. This is a must-see!

      Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Dragon's Mouth Springs, Yellowstone National Park, WY

Put yourself back in time to the early settlers' period. Stand where indigenous people once thought that the Gods were angry at this amazing geological formation. Listen to the growling in the caves for yourself.
While you’re in this area you’ll also see the amazing geological formation of the Mud Volcano. Watch the earth make mud by twisting and churning it up in an angry manner. This will surely get your mind wondering about what Is going on under the surface.

      Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Fountain Paint Pot, Lower Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park, WY

Truly a spectacular geological phenomenon that Mother Nature has given to us to enjoy and wonder upon. Learn how the Paint Pots got their names and their colors. There are so many fun facts about how the earth makes a paint pot. These geothermal activities are so much fun just to sit and watch. Don't forget to put your camera on video for this one.

      Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Firehole Canyon Drive, Yellowstone National Park, WY

This is one of my personal favorites. The Firehole Canyon has such beautiful sites. The Firehole river cuts its way through the volcanic rock in this amazing canyon. The canyon has several beautiful waterfalls such as the Firehole falls. The Firehole Canyon has one of Yellowstone’s only swimming areas in the park. Watch fly fisherman, dip your feet in the water, and enjoy the sights.

      Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Grand Prismatic Spring, Midway Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park, WY

The Grand Prismatic Spring is the largest Geyser Spring in Yellowstone. The colors of the extremophiles are stunning. Learn why the colors change and the scientific uses for the thermophiles in medical settings. You’ll be amazed at the colors of the beautiful bacteria. You’ll also see the Excelsior Crater. Hear the water falling over the side of the crater walls. And learn the history of how this has been forming over thousands of years.

      Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Upper Falls, Yellowstone River, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190

Take a short hike down to the brink of the Upper Falls. This 100-foot waterfall is amazing to see from the brink. See the power of thousands of gallons of water crashing over the top of the falls. The rock formations are spectacular and the canyon walls covered in moss are beautiful.

      Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Hayden Valley, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190

In Hayden Valley, you’ll have a great chance to see a variety of wildlife. This valley that was formed by glaciers receding is a picturesque sight. With the rivers flowing through it just calls to the wildlife to come to drink and find food. This area is a popular one for Yellowstone’s Trumpeter Swans, coyotes, the Wapiti Wolf pack, tons of bison, and occasionally some bears.
